Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well structured and gives us exposure to a lot of subjects that give us knowledge of the international business environment. Most of the faculty is well versed in the subjects. A few technical subjects don't have good faculties so a lot of improvement could be done thereby getting better faculties. The difficulty of exams is moderate and the supervision during the exams is strict as well.
Internships Opportunities
Over 100 companies visit the summer internship cycle. A lot of roles are open in the domains of marketing and finance. Roles open trade as well in which the college provides a specialisation. The average stipend is around 2.5 lakhs and varied roles are offered by top companies.
Placement Experience
The placements are really good and the summer placement happens by the end of the first trimester itself. Over 100 companies visit the summer placement cycle with the average stipend being over 2.5 lakhs. The average package for the final placements is 25 lakhs and happens around the month of November. The institute ensures 100% placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are high which is the case for most MBA colleges in India. The 2-year course costs a little over 20 lakhs including the hostel and mess fee. For scholarships, there have been a few opportunities here and their frequency of occurrence is still quite low. The institute has partnered with a few banks which makes the loan process a little easier.
Campus Life
The campus size is not that big but the facilities provided in the same are still good. Our annual fest Quo Vadis is organized in February and attracts a really good footfall. The library has a really good collection and also provided us access to the Bloomberg portal. For sports, we have a basketball and a badminton court which mainly attracts people during the night time. The clubs, committees, and cells at IIFT are well-structured and conduct events on a regular basis.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel where we stay comes under the oyo hostel group. The hostel is situated in Kishangarh. The facilities provided in the hostel are quite good as compared to the hostel situated inside the campus. The quality of food is also good and for the price and location where it's situated, it is quite affordable.
Admission
The admission process was a bit mismanaged. The entrance exam itself had a lot of errors and people in most of the centers faced technical difficulties. The further processes of GDPI were comparatively smoother and went well. The initial form-filling process was also good so the only improvement that can be done would be for the actual entrance exam and the technical errors everyone faced.
Interview Experience
There was a direct interview during the admission process. The interview started with an extempore around some current affairs. The rest of the interview was based on some basic knowledge of my undergrad domain and why I had decided to join IIFT for my MBA. The interview lasted exactly 20 minutes. To prepare for the same I had gone through the transcripts available online and I kept myself in touch with current affairs.
