Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for MBA in International Business is quite up-to-date and the faculty more or less covers the basic requirements of each field along with other value additions based on their current research output.
Internships Opportunities
The Institute provides excellent summer internship opportunities with almost the entire batch getting placed well in time. The average stipend offered is also in the range of 1-1.5 LPA, again mostly in marketing and finance domains.
Placement Experience
Placements, both summer internships and final, are top-notch and competitive to other B-schools in their range. Most offers received are in the marketing and finance domains. The average CTC for the 2022 final placements is approximately 25 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee for the entire two-year duration (including both tuition and hostel fee) is approximately Rs 22,00,000. The hostel component is charged annually and 6 installments, one for each trimester. Being a government-run institute, there is scope for availing merit-cum-means scholarships.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is both hectic and fun. There are multiple clubs and committees that conduct activities all year round. However, the campus is a bit small and a part of the batch has to be accommodated off-campus. Infrastructure for sports facilities is also lacking.
Hostel Facilities
The campus is small so at least a part of the batch has to be accommodated off-campus, but transportation services are provided by the institute. Overall they're pretty decent. A new, larger campus is coming up but will take time.
Admission
Two-stage admission process - multiple choice pattern aptitude exam followed by extempore and Personal Interview. Applied by filling out the form at the National Testing Agency website around the same time when the form for CAT was being filled out.
Interview Experience
The written Test was a standardized aptitude exam comprising LRDI, Quant, VARC, and a GK section as well. After that, we had an extempore that was followed by a Personal Interview with a 3-member panel comprising IIFT professors.
