4.5

The course curriculum and faculty members at VIT University are of high quality. They offer a diverse range of courses that provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their chosen field of study. The courses taught at VIT University provide comprehensive coverage of both theoretical and practical aspects, The faculty-student ratio at VIT University is 1:15 which ensures that every student has enough support from their professors. Their interactive teaching methods where real-life scenarios are worked upon throughout the semester encourage independent thinking among students as well as holistic development. Term exams typically include a healthy mix of theory-based questions and 3 times exams scheduled in one semester.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

VIT University provides various opportunities for students to pursue internships. The university encourages hands-on learning for students and ensures that a proper stipend is available for those taking up an internship within the college. There are numerous companies that have been associated with VIT University in providing internships such as Microsoft, Adobe, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, and Wipro. Under these companies, there are several roles available for interns such as software developer or programmer, data scientist, web designer or front-end engineer, graphic designer or UX/UI designer, etc. The projects offered can vary from developing a web application to designing a mobile app. The outcomes of the projects focus on showcasing the skills and knowledge of the interns acquired by working alongside industry professionals in their respective fields of study and careers. Interns participating in these projects could witness the development process.

Placement Experience

5

IT University has an excellent placement track record with the students receiving offers from some of the most prestigious companies in India and abroad. From the 8th semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies that have come on campus this year for placements include Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, Bosch, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Accenture, Dell, and Wipro among others. The average CTC offered is around 5–6 LPA while the highest package amounts to 25+ LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is over 90% which is pretty impressive. There are various plans available after completing your degrees like pursuing higher studies at reputed universities abroad in fields such as Robotics & AI or Data Science or taking up internships during summers etc., Apart from this you can also join start-up incubators available on campus and co-found a venture there or take up a freelancing gig. There are many other possibilities depending on your skill set.

Fees and Financial Aid

Basically in VIT, we have to pay more but according to me, this will affect when our placement will go on. for B. tech students around 2-3.5 lakh per year fee and for integrated M. tech is a 1-2 lakh fee. If the VITEEE score will good so the fee will very less so based on the student's score in VITEEE the actual fee will determine. All the government scholarships are available in VIT as well as the STARS scholarship is also provided by the VIT. My placement is going on but my seniors got good packages like 10-15 lakh per year and if you will select an internship offered by the VIT and organize some hackathons so they have to pay a good amount of stipend. So it's good when you look from the placement point of view.

Campus Life

5

Life at VIT University is exciting and enriching. . From academics to sports, student engagement mechanisms to cultural events – there are plenty of opportunities for students to participate in the variety of activities on-campus and build meaningful relationships. Annual Fest: The annual event of the university is called Supra Sristi and it typically takes place in March each year and includes music concerts, fun rides, Techfest: During October each year, the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science & AI (RBCDSAI) organizes the Bi-annual Techfest Anwesha. Library: VIT University Library encompasses an extensive collection of books, journals, and magazines. Sports & Extra Curricular Activities: Cricket, basketball, football & badminton courts can be found regularly populated by college athletes in addition to volleyball tournaments being conducted by Sports Club every Friday. Every year ADVITYA is organized and there all clubs of student co-ordinator encourage their group members.

Hostel Facilities

4

IT University provides excellent hostel facilities for students. All the hostels are centrally air-conditioned and have a 24x7 security system. Each room in the hostel is provided with triple-sharing Beds, Dining tables along with chairs, Cupboards, and Study Tables. The rooms are also fitted with basic amenities like ceiling fans, drinking water coolers, and insect repellents. The meal quality of the cafeteria at VIT University is excellent and they provide diverse menus on a weekly basis. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of food items available such as North Indian Cuisine, South India Cuisine, Chinese Cuisine, and fast food. Students can also opt for custom orders from the canteen if they prefer to eat something. Registration Process for Hostel & Affordability: In order to get admission into the hostel at VIT University, eligible students should fill up an online form. If you have rented a room or PG outside campus then make sure to mention the locality eg., if rented around IT Park.

Admission

The admission process for the course depends entirely on the institution offering it. Generally, in order to secure admission to a course, students need to meet certain eligibility criteria set by the college/university. For example, many institutions stipulate a minimum aggregate percentage or marks in previous qualifying examinations. I got a 100 % scholarship for studying under the STARS scheme. And I don't have to pay any tuition and collage fees. And in VIT, fees are dependent on their VITEEE exam score, and the basis that they will categorize into 1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th categories. In colleges that require entrance exams as part of their admissions process, potential students will be required to apply via an online form and pay a certain amount of application fees along with other documentation within specified timelines. It is important to note that each college/university will have its own set of criteria. Online counseling is good if the interface will be easy for enrollment by students.

Admission:

I appeared for VITMEE exam for Post graduate admission. I qualified the exam and was invited for the admission process. The whole admission procedure was very simple, guided and systematic. The slot (date and time) was allotted for counseling round where you have to reach to the nearest VIT campus. There you are called rank wise for counseling and asked to select the specialization branch in which you intend to get admitted. You can see the Realtime availability of the seats for all the courses during counseling session. The seats for each course are divided in sections based on tuition fees. The section with least tuition fees gets occupied first. Then the formalities regarding the hostel and mess are completed. The hostel room will be allotted as per availability and your preference of choices.
