Course Curriculum Overview

Petroleum Engineering is one of the best courses available for low ranks. Faculty to student ratio is good. All Faculty are highly qualified. All have Ph.D. degrees. Exams are of good level and it's not that difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

IIT ISM Dhanbad offers a 2-month internship. Google, Facebook, and every top company give internship opportunities to its students. Sde profile, business development, etc profiles are available. The stipend is also high.

Placement Experience

For campus placements, 7th-semester students are eligible. every top company visits us. No of the offers are above 800. Highest - 95 LPA Almost 80 percent of students are placed every year. I want to work at ONGC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is decided by GOI. Many scholarships are available for students, like MCM. Special scholarships are for SC-ST students. I have one intership from colllege. Cost is the same for all IITS as per rule.

Campus Life

There are many fest like, basant, concetto, srijan, hackfest. They are conducted throughout the year. The library is very big, with a variety of books. No proper amenities. Every sport is available for students.

Admission

For BTech, one has to clear JEE ADVANCED. Application forms are available on the NTA website. Reservation benefits are available as per the government of India's reservation policy. The application fee is available on the NTA website.

Actually after you qualify for your jee exams after this you think who is the better collage and after this for this college which is better branch for your interest but after jee not so much intrest about branches feels like every branch is same for me Than u choose your brach to see the packages . Everything about NIT Jamshedpur

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester beginning only top companies start visiting the campus. All top IT companies visit the college. CSE branch has an average of 27 lpa with around 95% placements. The core branch also has very good placements. The MME branch and PIE branch has the best placements compared to every NITs. I am preparing for UPSC ESE. On an average around 97% students gets placed. Lowest package is 6.5 lpa and the highest is 82.5 lpa by Atlassian offered to 5 students of CSE, ECE and EE.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR Review

Placement Experience:

Replacement of our college is very good and it Jamshedpur is famous for placement only. In our branches that is civil here maximum packages 20 lpa and the average package is approx 8 lpa. Approx percentage of placement is above 95%. Many of the student goes for further studies and government job preparation.

There are more than 50 companies which visited here , Highest package was of 19lakhs/year (VM ware) and the Average package was of 6lakhs/year (Wipro) . 99% students of my batch got placed the placement ratio of this college is awesome. Plans after getting degree is for the government job and to clear CDS exam .

My overall experience in this college has been quite moderate till date. One of the biggest problems one will face is that the library, computer centre and the student activity centre are not operational 24/7 till date, Another problem is never ending construction work is quite nagging and the continuous motion of the heavy vehicles due to that construction throughout the campus makes the campus appear more or less like an under-construction site than a college. Good college, Equipped with moderate infrastructure, which is in a state of progress. Placements are good.
