Course Curriculum Overview

The best course I could at Pilani campus according to the cutoffs. Most of the faculty are nice and qualified. We have regular tutorial tests and quizzes apart from our regular mid tem and end term examination.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are also decent enough. Many companies visit in the drive. Most of the software development roles are only open to circuital branches. The stipend offered is also good and this year TRC also visited our campus.

Placement Experience

Placements start from the 7th semester and go on till the 8th. The overall average package of the college was around 16-17 LPA while the average package for the CSE branch was around 25-27 LPA. The placement percentage is about 95%

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are generally a bit high at BITS Pilani but this college offers scholarships too. First is the merit scholarship and the second is merit cum need scholarships (whose family income is less than a certain amount)

Campus Life

Probably one of the best in the country in these terms. Fests are one of a kind here. The classrooms are very good too. Sports facilities can be improved a bit but overall all the facilities in this section are top notch.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are decent enough. Hostel fees are also approximately as the IITs and other government colleges. In the first year, we get double occupancy rooms and in the second year, it is single occupancy for boys. Mess food is also decent enough and the overall experience is a good one.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

All India examinations for admission to the 3 campuses of BITS. No reservation of any kind. Eligibility was 75% in class 12th and then it was based on the cutoffs of the respective courses you want to opt for.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

about 90 percent people get placed and the rest goes for masters or become enterprenuers. Top companies that visit campus are Samsung ,BNY,Flipkart etc.Highest package goes upto 1.3 cr with average of 13lpa and median of 12lpa.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
