Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers here are very well qualified and most of them have done their master's and PHD's from well-reputed foreign universities. The term exams are quite tough here but the grading here is relative rather than absolute so it won't affect your CG if you are better than others.

Internships Opportunities

Every year companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, texas instruments etc comes for summer internships and take around 200-300 peoples for internships. Apart from this, there is something called Practise School by which you get internships in very good companies based on your CG.

Placement Experience

Placement is the main advantage of this college. The placements are very good and the median package for the cs branch goes up to 25 LPA for the circuital branches median package goes up to 18 LPA and for mech and other branches too the avg package is around 12-15 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees here are approx 2.5 lac per semester. But there are many scholarships available like MCN, Merit Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship etc. which makes it an affordable college for you if you are a bright student.

Campus Life

Life is absolutely fantastic on campus. The campus is very beautiful and the infrastructure is also good. There are many good eateries within the campus and also there is a jawed habib hair salon. The only con is the location of the Pilani Campus, it's a bit tough to reach the campus and also outside campus, there is not much to explore.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good, there are approximately 15 hostels and you get a single room after your 2nd year. Every hostel has a common room where there is a TV and some indoor games like a football table etc.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

You need to give BITSAT exam and then according to the cutoff, you will be allotted to different branches. You need to have 75% or more in your 12th grade to be eligible for the BITSAT exam. There is no reservation for any caste or any gender and every admission is merit based only.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
