Course Curriculum Overview

Always had an interest in the EEE course and Bits has a really good placement record in this branch. The faculty-student ratio doesn't matter where the teachers are always ready to help if you approach them. The electronics faculty is well-versed in their course design and good at explaining everything taught. Exams are scheduled at the start of each Sem and happen punctually throughout the course. The exams are very difficult though.

Internships Opportunities

All companies that visit for placement also provide internships, the average stipend is around 60000. Nvidia, Ti, and Qualcomm came. The placement unit is actively working to increase the number of internship opportunities for students

Placement Experience

From the 4th Sem, placements are allowed. All sorts of companies visit the campus, including Nvidia, TI, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. The highest was around 40Lac and avg around 16lac. 98% placements in electronics. I will be looking in getting a good placement from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The hike policy states that the tuition fee will be raised by 15% every year. There are a lot of scholarship schemes available some provide up to 100% waiver on tuition but a total annual income of 11lac is required

Campus Life

Oasis the annual fest happens in November whereas Apogee is held in April. The library is massive and has almost all possible books you may need for your studies. Classrooms are Air conditioned (in New Academic Building) and have projectors installed. The gym sports ground has proper facilities to practice any sport you may be interested in. There are multiple (way too many to list) clubs, social groups, and websites run by students many of these are also funded by the institute.

Hostel Facilities

Single rooms are allocated to 3rd and 4th-year students (for boys, single rooms for girls are rare, but soon another hostel for girls is going to be made functional next year). A bed, table, chair, and Almirah are made available to everyone. Hostel registration is online and instructions are mailed to the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

A bitsat exam is required for admission. The information regarding that and the cutoff is available on its website. There are no reservation benefits. The process lacks a bit of transparency as you are not given any info about the candidates on the waiting list above you.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
