Remarks

The eligibility of the course is to complete HS with around 65-70% marks. Anybody can find the application form on our college website dispurcollege.com and they can also pay the fees there. Students with caste certificates of ST/OBC/SC can avail the benefits of reservation of seats here.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I wanted to study finance. In our college, there are highly qualified professors. Most of them had a PhD degree. Exams are conducted as per the instructions of Guwahati University and the exams are easy to pass.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are relatively lower in our college than the private colleges and some of the government colleges. Students with caste certificates can apply for scholarships in our college. I am also able to get a scholarship one time during my B.com.

Campus Life

There are many festivals and functions held in college every year. Our college this year open a newly constructed library. Students can get any kind of book they want in our library. Students can play lots of games in a there free period like carrom, badminton, chess etc.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.

Dispur college review

I had applied to 5 to 6 colleges and fortunately I had got my name in every college merit I choose this college i.e. dispur college because one of my family member has already taken admission in this college also my friends have been saying that the college got accredited grade 'A' by NAAC and it also listed for CUET as it also comes under the guwahati university.and also our former HoD has been declared as the fellowship of commerce.
