Remarks

The admission process was very easy, they have centers in Ludhiana, from where you can go and register yourself by giving your documents. If you are applying for B.tech after your Diploma then you need to submit a 10th certificate, diploma certifications, and other KYC. if you are applying for the 12th then you need to submit the 12th certificate (should be in non-med) and the NEET exam result. after that their executives will do the complete process. I have PAID Rs5000/- only at the time of registration. which was adjusted in the first semester fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is really good and informative. I chose the course because I am interested in software line. I wanted to be an Engineer. faculty members were also very nice, the ratio of faculty-student is 7:50 All our faculty members were highly qualified and their teaching method was good every after 2months we were having exams, and if you study then for sure you can pass the exam very easily.

Internships Opportunities

5

Students got Internship opportunities in many good companies like tech Mahindra, Infosys, click labs, etc. ome got an internship as a Frontend engineer, some in the backend and some in Quality assurance depending on student interest.

Placement Experience

3.5

College is providing job placements, Many companies came and eligible students get good opportunities also. if I am talking about my batch then many good companies came, and 6-7 students from our batch got the good package as well. the highest package offered to our batchmate was 7lakh per year. 20-30% of students can get placements I am also working as an IT ENGINEER and getting a good package. (16lakh+ per year)

Fees and Financial Aid

We need to deposit the fees per semester wise and as such, there are no scholarship facilities in the college. but if you scored good marks in the 12th or Diploma, then at the start you can apply under the fee waiver scheme, if you got admission under the FEE WAIVER Scheme you need to pay very less for the whole 3-4 years of course. If in any case, you are not able to pay the fees, the campus will understand your situation and can give you some discounts on fees and also give you the option to pay the fees in EMI's

Campus Life

4

Every year our college was organizing a fest called robomania. it is for 2-3 days. One day a celebrity will come to the college and students can enjoy themselves. and other days students can make any practical projects and can show their talents. They are organizing different activities as well, participating in youth fest, hostel nights fest, fashion shows, singing & dancing competitions, etc. In College Library you can find almost every book required for the courses. amenities in classrooms were good, ur college was organizing circuit matches, football, and basketball matches also.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
