Amity University - Honours in Economics

Students having 50 percent or more in Plus two are eligible for Admission. The admission process was through application directly on the college site and was provided with a direct offer letter owing to an above 80 percentile mark scored. The website for the application and the application process was smooth. We have to provide all the basic details regarding the student, educational qualifications, etc and the application fee was Rs 500.

Amity University, Noida provided B.A. (Hons) in Economics. It was a three-year honors course which was attractive. There are more than 5 faculties teaching at a time per semester in a department which is more than sufficient to get individual attention and support when needed. The average student per class in a batch was 35. Every semester there were 2 mid-term tests based on which internal marks were provided. Other assignments and Presentations were provided based on the subjects and were also a part of the internals. Exams were easy to moderate to pass. The faculties are all highly qualified, some were even alumni of the prestigious London school of economics.

In the final year, students were asked to do a summer internship. Students found internships with or without the help of the department coordinator. The summer internship was mandatory after the second year and sufficient documents with proof of attending the internship and the final report had to be submitted to our faculty guide in college.

5th-semester students, that is the final-year students are applicable for campus placements. Those who are willing to make available for placement could provide their name to the Department placement cell coordinator. Many tops. companies like Wipro visit the college for placements. attractive packages of 2.4 lakhs per annum were being provided by the companies for an ug student.

Fees per semester varied upon each year. First-year it costs around 60-70k per semester, in the second year 80-85k, and in the final year around 90 k. Other minor costs for exams and other applications were also there.

The campus boasts a live and active crowd at all times with regular social activities being conducted around the campus. Every year Amity conducts AYF- Amity Youth Fest and the annual sports meet called Sangathan which brings students from around the country together. classrooms boast centralized AC and are updated with the latest technologies for today's classes.
