Entrance Preview

I appeared for HSC i.e. 12th and scored 85.14% marks. It is the best college near my home that offered Mechanical.

Course Curriculum Overview

There was no focus of research. Course included writing a lot of assignments that were out dated and without a purpose. The practicals also were meaningless. There were not too many options for electives. The whole system of high scores get job is not good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission

It was central admission process at Kolhapur University. Forms were sold at Walchand college itself. I had to go to to Kolhapur twice. The administration was not great. Long queues and lot of wait time. Even the college administration was not great. The whole process was painful.

Faculty

2.5

Couple of faculty were well qualified. However, the rest of the faculty was not well qualified. Only couple of them took good interest in teaching. The rest of them did not. The infrastructure of the college too was not great. There were not many avenues to show talent.
