Remarks
The admission process in st. Xavier's college Ranchi is based upon the entrance test in which the cut-off is 60% for the ST/SC and 70% for OBC AND 75% for the General category and it further added the eligibility criteria for opting for courses such as if I have opted to B.com then I must have to secure 60% in Accountancy and overall %age should be 55%. In this college more than 50% of seats are reserved for the ST/SC category which should be lessened and the admission should be done on only the capability and ability of students' eligibility.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because it suits me the best and also gives the knowledge of the marketing field, which also helps me in getting knowledge about the market for establishing and following my passion towards becoming a businessman and the student ratio in this college in this course is more than any other courses offered by the college. More 1200 students graduated from this college in one year only for accounts Hons. The faculty of the course is also good, the methods of teaching of professors are also good and the timely semester exam also helps the students to become graduated on time.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd year to the 5th semester the students become eligible for placement offers, the companies Delloit, British Telecom, Accenture and many others were visited and the offer for junior managers and employees post to the eligible students. The students should not have any active backlogs or must have more than 7 cgpa in each semester's exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the course is 34500 in 1st for the General category and 33000 for ST/SC, OBC category which further gets lower in the next years and the college also provides scholarships for ST/SC, and OBC category of 20000 yearly. The college doesn't provide any scholarships for the general category students.
Campus Life
The campus life of the students is really good as the college offers a 3-day annual fest in January and the college also offers for the trip twice in a year for a week which attracts the students and helps them to learn experiences of life and the best is about the sports facilities because the college is also concerned about the student's preference of sports, so they provide for each and every type of annual sports in the college. The college provides a Library, canteen, gym and a game centre which is almost free for students except for the food in the canteen and the gym. The college library provides all types of books.
