Remarks

The admission process was pretty basic, you just have to apply for the course form from the college's website and wait for your merit no. which is totally based on your 12th mark sheet, you could be from any background be it arts, commerce or science, personally, I was from a science background and I faced no issues at all, there are also reserved seats for Kashmiri Migrants, SC, EWS, and ROHC students. The only gripe is that they take the whole day for the admission process and you aren't even sure if you are admitted or not as the counseling happens on the same day as your admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course as I like filmmaking quite a bit and film schools in India are not so great and I thought BAJMC would be a better and more economical option as we also get to use cameras and all in this course too, plus the university has its own media lab which has all the equipment and is really good, there are only 50 students in a class so the faculty to students ratio is really great plus the faculties are really well educated and have a great knowledge of their own fields and aims for more practical teaching rather than just sticking to the books, the term exams are about to start in this December and everything is going on time as of now, recently we had our sessionals too and that was really easy to pass if you would just attend all the classes only

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Currently, I'm in the first semester only so I don't have much knowledge on the internship part but in BAJMC, we have 5 semesters of college and last semester is for an internship so that you get a good amount of knowledge about the industry, even in the first semester itself we are offered with some internships via the college faculties

Fees and Financial Aid

You have to pay the fees in two separate parts, the first one when you get admitted (34718) and the second time just before your 1st semester papers (22282), there aren't any such scholarships but teachers do provide you with some internships with okish stipends

Campus Life

4.5

The college life at this university is quite good actually, you regularly have film festivals, tech fests and all plus the campus is relatively really big as compared with other government colleges, you can easily enjoy with your friends, the university also has a good collection of books which you can issue from the library, you have clean drinking water facilities, clean washrooms, the whole university is really maintained, much more than you'd expect a gov college to be. The university also has its own clubs for all different sports, musicals and everything, don't double think about that, plus you also have the chance to be a part of the "Sanchar" team if you are from the media department which provides you access to the media lab, there's also a university student council too, which regularly works on the betterment of the facilities for the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum influenced me the most and the syllabus system everything is that I am interested in . The curriculum prepares me by enhancing my knowledge in my field with proper guidance of faculty so that I can excel my skills in the real world. I think more focus should be on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge otherwise everything is best. Exams and tests were quite frequent,3 hours were given to complete each exam .Tests were taken thrice a month , sometimes twice and term exams were taken twice.

Placement Experience:

Our Institute also provide placement opportunities and students who are pursuing in sixth semester are eligible for placement. Recently, a company visited our Institute and selected many students for placement. But at that time I didn't remember the name of company and also no idea about the salary package. There are only 30 percent students were interested to getting placement. I prefer the journalism after getting my degree.
