Review on Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology by Sumiti Chahal

I choose this course because I want to become a journalist and want to serve the society in a responsive way. The faculty of our Institute also influenced me to choose this course. Our curriculum also prepared us to deal with the problems of our life. There is a need to reduce the subjects which is unnecessary for us. We have studied a lot of subjects which are not useful for us. Examination should be conducted in December and May. We have also face a lot of difficulties during exams.

Recently, we should get the opportunity to do our internship in public relations. Along with the above various internship opportunities should be provided to the students by our Institute. We have just completed the tasks which is provided by our coordinators of internship.

Our Institute also provide placement opportunities and students who are pursuing in sixth semester are eligible for placement. Recently, a company visited our Institute and selected many students for placement. But at that time I didn't remember the name of company and also no idea about the salary package. There are only 30 percent students were interested to getting placement. I prefer the journalism after getting my degree.

When we are talking about fee structure it is same for every student. There are some concession only for students who belong to scheduled castes and backward class. Complete fee structure of our course is around fifty thousand per year including all the charges. There are various industries who selected the students for jobs in the future. The amount of ten thousand rupees is provided to the students under the National Scholarship Portal and six thousand under the Post Matric Scholarship per year.

In our Institute, media fest was organised every year by the students. In media fest there are various events should be conducted. Along with the above library facilities is also good. There is a well maintained classrooms with modern facilities, smart classes, canteen and auditorium also. Students actively participated in sports and games. Recently, a cricket match was organised by our Institute. There are various social groups of our Institute which run by the students.

Students who has passed 12th class are eligible for this course. Students need to fill an application form for admission and paid one thousand for application fees. I didn't availed any reservation benefits so I have no idea about this. Admission must be done through merit list which is based on 12th class marks. When students got reservation benefits during admission such things are not good for others students and such types of things I didn't like.

In our course, there are only 50 sheets are available for the newcomers students. There is a proper ratio of the students and the faculty in our Institute. If any person who has law graduate, have a master degree in mass communication and also Ph.d holder were eligible for the post of faculty in our Institute. The faculty tried their best to deals with every aspects which provided in the syllabus. They motivated the students to participating in extracurricular activities also.
