Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum influenced me the most and the syllabus system everything is that I am interested in . The curriculum prepares me by enhancing my knowledge in my field with proper guidance of faculty so that I can excel my skills in the real world. I think more focus should be on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge otherwise everything is best. Exams and tests were quite frequent,3 hours were given to complete each exam .Tests were taken thrice a month , sometimes twice and term exams were taken twice.

Fees and Financial Aid

The 1st year fees for BA was 10000 per year which decreased to 8000 in 2nd year and 7500 in 3rd year There was no other fee like developmental fees or caution fees etc. The security amount was 200 rupees. The backward class students got scholarships based on different governmental schemes. It was approximately 5000 rupees per year to be applied in 1st year. The economically backward students also got this scholarship after applying successfully. Like my classmate Ankush and Reena were from SC and EWS categories respectively, they used to get 5000 per year from government as scholarship. They had to pay the full fee amount after which 5000 was refunded in their bank accounts. There was also merit cum need scholarships provided to rankers that was approximately 2000.

Campus Life

4

The campus is awesome with great infrastructure and holy green plants everywhere . Annual fests were organised by management every year, alumni meet ups are held, talent shows were also held in February and January months, sometimes according to the student council. The library was quite accessible, books could be issued by students any time they want to. The classrooms were provided with Projectors and digital boards. Sports events were organised regularly, inter and intra college sports competitions were also held. A lot of students were on social media who used to acknowledge the society about the college.

Admission

I had not applied for other colleges because I was sure that I will get seat in this college.I chose this college because it is one of the best college of my state and it has excellent ranking. I didn't applied for other colleges. Admission was done through councelling process based on class 12th marks. The cut off was approximately 78% for general category.

Faculty

4

Faculty to students ratio was good that was 1:25.The faculty to students relationship is also awesome and the faculties are quite approachable, students can ask their doubts any time they want to. I liked Dr.Anjali Kura Mam who taught us English, she explained everything in so detail and interesting way that students always enjoyed her class.I also liked Mr.Suraj Walia Sir who taught us economics, his method of teaching was marvelous. Tests were quite regular like thrice a month and Exams were conducted twice a year as term 1 and term 2 .The level of exams was mediocre but still 6-7% students failed in exams who had to go for reappear The course curriculum was too relevant.

Night Life

4

There were a lot of cafeterias nearby the college like Queen pizza,NRI chaiwala, etc.Gyms were also there and sports complex was also there. The hostellers used to enjoy dj nights on alternate sundays and festival days. The campus was quite safe to roam around during night, hangout places were lakes and temples nearby the college

Placement Experience:

Our Institute also provide placement opportunities and students who are pursuing in sixth semester are eligible for placement. Recently, a company visited our Institute and selected many students for placement. But at that time I didn't remember the name of company and also no idea about the salary package. There are only 30 percent students were interested to getting placement. I prefer the journalism after getting my degree.
