Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established in 1982 in the sacred memory of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati with the aim to provide quality education to the girls of the region and it is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It is recognized by UGC and it is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

- National Cadet Corps (NCC): The College has a NCC unit in which 50 students are enrolled

- Red Cross Society: This society is functioning in the college to provide health awareness among students

At Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kurukshetra, regular class attendance is expected and there isn’t an official “non-attending class” option where you can skip regular lectures without consequence. Students must attend classes regularly and maintain minimum attendance (often about 75%) to meet university requirements and be eligible for exams. If attendance is low, the college may impose fines or require additional work to make up attendance.
Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kurukshetra does not offer the BBA course. It offers BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MCom, Certification and diploma courses. The departments are listed below:
