Remarks

After cracking NEET UG one has to undergo the counseling process of WBMC under supervision of WBUHS. There are 3 rounds of counseling, Round 1, 2 and Mop-up respectively according to the merit list. Eligibility criteria for participation in counseling procedure is minimum of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th standard.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is a professional course where one is taught to apply their knowledge in their clinical practice. In NBMC faculties are always available and pretty attentive to the academic needs and guidance of the students, there is also a mentorship program going on where a group of 10 students remains under the supervision of 1 faculty member. Faculties use advanced technologies and extraordinary clinical exposure to make each subject easier. There is also a part clearance exam for each subject nearly at month end to assess the progress of students. Apart from these, there are semester exams conducted by the college authority and annual professional exams conducted by the university. And the exam difficulty is standardized.

Internships Opportunities

During the internship, one will get the maximum clinical exposure possible which will help to clarify the knowledge and apply that knowledge in clinical practice. During the internship, the stipend is approx 29,000 INR/month.

Fees and Financial Aid

College monthly fees are approx 500 INR/month and books have to be bought separately. There is also government scholarship available according to merit. After 4.5 yrs during an internship of 1-month duration stipend of monthly 29,000 INR was also given.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest named Plasma in the month of September-October every year. Also, there is a freshers' welcome party for juniors and nostalgia on college foundation day as an Ex-students reunion party. In the college library, there are enough books and journals available. Research facility also provided by every department. In every classroom, there are projectors available. Sports facility also available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .
