HIT (Haldia institute of technology) takes admission via WBJEE and jee mains and also through management quota One can easily find the application form on the HIT website Reservation benefits are also available as 85% of seats are reserved for west Bengal students and the rest for all India quota through jee mains The admission process is quite easy and doesn't need any improvements right now

I chose BTech - CSE with a data science specialization as I want to be a data scientist and also due to a heavy interest in coding Faculty: student ratio is far better than any other private btech college, faculty is also very calm and helpful Our teachers are mostly PhD and M-tech degree owners Terms exams are quite difficult but as you know they are more difficult as we tend to study more thoroughly

Our chemical department has the highest placement offers after computer science engineering, All mass recruiters with good companies like Amazon, American bank and may come to our college We receive projects on a frequent basis for extracurricular development

Our college placement percentage is 97% and students get internships in 3rd year via college and are eligible for placement in 4th year The highest package is 44 LPA and avg is 8.2 LPA I am planning for Mtech after btech

The fee structure is just amazing if we are to compare it with other private colleges, HIT provides the best value for money returns Right now I am still studying but as far as I know, placements are good enough

Our annual fests are called RIVERA and PRAYUKTI, RIVERA is our fun festival and PRAYUKTI is our tech festival I guess we have the largest library as compared to college from where we get our all books and we don't have to buy books from stores amenities like wifi, smart board, advanced optimization lab, and AI language labs are present. This college focuses so much on extracurricular activities and most amazing thing is that there are so many NGOs and NPO made by students with the support of our college which helps local people and deprived children, the sports culture is also good enough, both indoor and outdoor sports Social groups like NEEDS_HIT, HIT SAMARPAN HAITIAN INSIDE, HIT TIMES, and many more are currently running We also have different clubs for different skills

Facilities are 24/7 electricity supply, wifi, furnished room 24/7 water supply is available I am not lying but the messy food is really good and not like the stereotyped bad image of hostel food We have both veg and non-veg menu for every day of the week Registration is so simple, one has just to apply in the administrative department for the hostel and you will get one easily also hostel is super affordable The locality is so calm and peaceful
