Entrance Preview

All the students need to pass their class 12 th with 60% of marks to be able to apply for the admission in the college for this programme. The college will then take an entrance exam and based on the performance of the student in this exam, they will be offered a seat in the college. The examination is pretty easy but very lengthy and the competition is very tough. The process of admission is easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The college has divided the syllabus into semesters and in a very well-structured way so that the student remains connected to the course and is able to get their basics clear in the first couple of semesters. A lot of assignments and projects are issued to all the students so that they can understand the subject in a better way. Students are usually busy with a lot of practicals.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is to be done by all the students of the college regardless of which programme they are working in. Only the job field and stipend changes as per the roles and responsibilities. The students are given full time job offer if they perform well in the internship programme, but for that they need to be very good because nothing comes easily. Only a few students are able to get this kind of opportunity.

Placement Experience

3

100% placement track record has been maintained by the college for the past 7 years and the students are given appropriate training for it. The students are also given opportunity to start their own ventures in the college and the college provides a lot of resources for it too. The students are able to get these resources at no cost. This kind of opportunities are very good since these resources are not easily available and if available, then at a very high cost.

College Events

2.5

You will find a lot of things happening in the college. Sometimes, it gets difficult for us to select which seminar or event to attend since they coincide with each other and we need to select the best option for us. I usually hate when this happens but we learn to prioritize things this way. The college knows how to teach a certain skills out of the book and it helps the students a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
