College takes admissions on the basis of your JEE Mains rank. for applying to JEE Mains you can visit their site jeemain.nta.nic.in. A seat for b.tech in civil engineering was allotted to me in the open category although I was a ews candidate. One improvement which I want to see in the admission process is that they should remove the concept of internal sliding because it diminishes the chance of reaching good students to the upper branches who applied for counseling after internal sliding.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose B.tech in civil engineering because I want to be an IES officer and this branch has the highest opportunity for being an IES and its subjects are also very interesting. The faculties are just OK but some of them are very helpful and talented. Faculties are highly qualified but the method of teaching of mostly all the faculties is not up to the mark . The ratio of faculty to students is 1:70. There are two mid sems and one end-sem exam and these exams are very easy to pass because the pattern is totally based on past year papers.
Placement Experience
College placement is good in branches like CS, IT, Chemical, Paint, Mechanical, and Electronics but in other branches, it totally depends on you and your skills. Companies that come in hbtu are ITC, Dabur,IBM,HSBC,Berger Paints, Bharat petroleum, Airtel, OYO, etc. The placement percentage is good as it is 95.83% in 2022. My plan is to crack ese exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee is 135000 rupees. But there are also 3 fee waiver seats in every branch and also student can avail of UP scholarship there is also some college scholarship but it is very limited. There is a very good campus placement in some branches such as CS, IT, Chemical, and Paint. A good placement in electronics and mechanical and in all remaining branches placement is not good.
Campus Life
The campus is good clean and green, but as the college is very old, the buildings are old but there are also many newly developed areas and renovation is in progress. There are many college fests like Arambh,Adhyay, etc, and many clubs and councils like auto rob, ascpc, etc. also startup cells. College does not provide any extra effort towards sports, you have to do it yourself but yeah there is a sports fest named Adhyay where you have the chance to prove your skills.
