Remarks

To get admission to this college, you should first clear the JEE MAIN examination with a good rank (below 25500), and also you should meet some other criteria such as:- * your board percentage should either be greater than or equal to 75% or you should fall under the top 20 percentile in your board examination. (some relaxation is provided for the sc/st/PWD students). you can easily find the application form on the site jeemain.nic.ac.in and this form is released twice a year (one in December and the other in march tentatively). The overall admission process is very smooth and I have not faced any issues during my admission. Just be confident and believe in yourself, and you can easily get into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course here is well structured and it is structured in such a way that the students can easily handle it. I have chosen this course because I was very keen to know the science behind vaccines and drug development. The student-to-faculty ratio here is nearly 1:17 and all professors here are very good at their job and student-friendly. Professors here are well-qualified in their respective fields. Examination held here is always on time and the paper was like 30% portion is easy, 40% is medium and 30% portion is difficult to solve. If you will study properly, you can easily pass the paper.

Internships Opportunities

4

To be honest, Internship Opportunities on our campus are mostly for circuit branches. Nearly 50-60% of students from circuit branches get internships every year. From non-circuit branches, very few students get internship opportunities on campus. Nearly 150+ companies visited here for internships. Some of them are:- Goldman Sachs ( stipend- 1.5 lakhs/month), Microsoft ( stipend- 1 lakh/ month), Amazon ( stipend- 1 lakhs/ month), Mastercard ( 80 thousand/ month), SAP lab ( 40 thousand/ month), etc...

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college is known for its campus placement. The campus placement of this college is the best and it ranked no. 1 among all NITs based on campus placement. Only final-year students are eligible for campus placement and it started in august of every year. Some of the big companies which visited our campus are:-Goldmansach, Amazon, Atlassian, Qualicum, Microsoft, etc. For the 2022 batch, nearly 1150+ offers were made on our campus. This year the highest package offered is 88 LPA by Thoughtspot and the average package currently is 16 LPA. Nearly 90% of students get placed every year. My plan after my graduation is to do a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

the course fee here is 125000 per annum and you have to pay this fee in two installments i.e; semester-wise. Every semester you will have to pay 62500. Many types of scholarships are available here for students. some of them are:- *if your family income is below 1 lakh, your full tuition fee will be reimbursed. *if your family income is between 1 to 5, your 2/3rd tuition fee will be reimbursed. *if you belong to sc/st/PWD category, your full tuition fee will be reimbursed. For the students who are from NAVODAYA, Samsung provides a scholarships for them too.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus of NITW is one of the best campuses among all NITs.Our campus is fully greenery, neat and clean, and well-maintained. Many clubs are handled by students/faculty and it works on the overall development of students. NIT Warangal has the largest library among NITs and it almost consists of all types of books. We have a big outdoor ground and also an indoor ground where students can exercise cricket, volleyball, football, chess, badminton, basketball, table tennis, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility here depends on the year of your admission. In the first year, you will get a 1.8K hostel which is good and consists of lifts, well neat and clean room, and also the size of the room is spacious. During 2nd year, students are allowed to the Old Block which is the old building the rooms are not that much maintained, and also lifts are not available there. In the 3rd and 4th year, students are allowed a 1K hostel which is again quite good and well maintained, and lifts facilities are also available here. There are many messes here, almost all are fine except IFCB. Dining in IFCB is just a waste of our money. The registration process for a hostel is done online and the fee is affordable to every student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
