Remarks
To get admission to this college, you must have cleared your class 12th with more than 75% marks in the science stream and appeared for JEE(Mains) Examination and cleared it by getting more than the cutoff marks for that session. After that, to get a seat in this college you have to fill out the UPSEE counseling forms and opt for Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi in a branch of your choice. Application forms can be found on the NTA website for JEE(Mains) for Rs.650, and the UPSEE website for counseling with fees of Rs.1000 for round 1. After that, you have to pay Rs.20000 to participate in further rounds, which will be deducted from the fees of your college after you take admission. All forms are available by end of December of starting of January. If you belong to a particular category like SC/ST/EWS you have to have a Caste Certificate and attach it to your application forms to avail of the benefits. No improvement in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Civil Engineering as I wanted to appear in GATE, IES, IAS, etc. examinations as the atmosphere for these things in my college is very fruitful and the faculty is helpful. The faculty is very helpful and are well qualified with at least a doctorate in the field of teaching. I am very fond of the Civil Engineering Head of the Department Dr. Amitabh Srivastava sir. The faculty: student ratio is 1:5. The teaching methods are very innovative and inspiring. I found the teaching methods of Dr. Shashank Gupta Sir and Dr. Praveen Kumar Srivastava very good. The term exams were conducted timely at the end of each semester and of course, you have to study something to pass, for which you will be given ample opportunities as 2 Class Tests (failing which you can opt to give another to improve performance) and projects, assignments, and tutorials.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college are good, for which you can apply in semester 6 onwards. Many companies like Paytm, Wipro, TCS, Adobe, Jio, L&T, and many other esteemed companies for each branch visit the college, and many offers are made. Skilled students get as many as 10 offers in a single day. Two students even went for an off-campus placement at Google and Microsoft for 64L and 56L in the year 2022, this year the average placement was 7 LPA. The highest in-campus placement was 17.5 LPA by Josh Technology, Around 70% of students get placed at an average of all branches. I will look forwards to getting a place in an MNC or going for higher studies/IES/IAS exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is well explained and there are no hidden charges. It depends on your branch and whether you opted for Fee waiver option in admission. But at an average tuition fees is 65400 (per annum) plus 14000 mess fees (per semester). Cost to study can be interpreted as the ROI(Return of Investment) to study in this college is very high as you will be getting your engineering degree from an esteemed college at around 4-5Lacs in total. The scholarship program can be availed at UP Scholarship portal and it is very easy to get if you are eligible. I did an Internship in my second semester with a stiped of 5000 per month.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is very lively and fun with lots of activities to attend to. You can go to sports/gyms/student activities clubs or the Innovation and Incubation Cell. Many activities take place around the year which are conducted by the student activities club and the main amongst them are Freshers, Branch Forums, and Techfest (known as Innovanza) which is conducted by the Innovation and Incubation Cell. The college library is very good in infrastructure and in terms of the availability of books. You can get books for your course, higher studies, and even competitive exams. The classroom is well-maintained and is equipped with well-distributed lights, fans, and seats. Some are equipped with air conditioners for aid in the summer. There are many sports you can participate in college like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Track and Field events (including Javelin!), and many many more. The best sports life I guess you can get. The clubs are just as lively and busy all year.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good as per the fees and very beautiful (especially the first-year hostel Vrindavan). Facilities like a water cooler and fresh food are available, you can even store the surprise birthday party cake for your friend in a refrigerator. The rooms are equipped with ample lights and fans and the ventilation is good with lots of windows provided. There are courts in the hostel you can play sports in and the greenery just makes you sit down and relax after a tiring day. The quality of the meal is good and the menu is very vast. There are even special days on which a special meal is prepared. All meals are fully vegetarian and are prepared with full sanitation. You can register for the hostel at the time of counseling and take in the fact that it was Rs.9500 only.
