Remarks

Any student who has passed physics, chemistry, and biology in the 12th class can apply for NEET i.e national eligibility cum entrance test. You have to go to neet.nta.nic.in and have to apply for an exam. Application is usually out during the 1st week of December and has to pay nominal registration fees. Also, there are many reservations for medical seats so please check if you come under any of these reservations and submit relevant documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because I was good at biology and was Impressed by the lifestyle of doctors. In college, their faculty is highly educated and everyone has at least an MBBS degree. Also, there is no shortage of teachers. Small group discussions are held in which 6-7 students are allotted one teacher and you can discuss the topic with them. Talking about exams there are 2 internal assessments 1 set ups and the final professor exam. These are usually held at an interval of 2 months. Exams are a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Every mbbs student has to do a compulsory internship for 1 year at Safdarjung hospital which is a paid internship with an average stipend of rs 20,000. Here you will work under MD and other post-graduates.

Placement Experience

5

After the internship I.e. after mbbs one usually applies for post-graduation. Since vmmc comes under IP university so you will get an internal quota. But yes can join any hospital and start practicing. Talking about me I will most probably pursue post-graduation from vmmc only. Here, we have one of the highest stipends all over India during pg.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a bit higher as compared to other DU colleges but there are many scholar programs of which one can avail. Like I got pmss I.e. PM scholarship program. Also during the final year of mbbs you will do an internship at Sardar hospital there also you will get paid.

Campus Life

1.5

Like any other college, we have a society like a street play society, dance society, cricket club, and many more. Also, our library is good like it has a study room and a library section in the different rooms where one can issue any medical book. The classroom is really good like it is highly equipped with led screens, a projector and smart board and speakers. The hostel has a few facilities like a table tennis court, badminton court, etc. But colleges don't have much open space where one can hang out with friends or any ground or auditorium.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum recently updated by NMC is mainly based on how we will deal with a real life situation and focused mainly on diseases which are prevailing in India . The teaching method should be on a blackboard rather than reading a PPT which no one can understand . There should be weekly exams for all the subjects with focus on NEET PG mainly MCQ type.

In medical colleges, the term placement is not suitable. After doing the MBBS we have to give the NEET PG exam and according to the rank in this exam we get we specialize stream. The students from my college get seats in the very prestigious AIIMS Delhi, Maulana Azad, and many other prestigious colleges. Every year out of 170, 130 to 140 students are selected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs is my dream, and this college makes it more interesting. This course will give u both name and fame. The satisfaction after saving someone's life is beyond expectation, and it's difficult so challenges me more and I like to face challenges. Every department has professors, associate professors, senior residents, and postgraduate students, the ratio of faculty students is quite good, and all the faculties are always ready to help and support U in any situation. Every faculty is highly qualified, even though some of them hold more than 5-6 degrees, and every professor has more than 10 yrs of teaching experience, and that too in a prestigious organization. I'm blessed to have such an awesome faculty. MBBS and exams a never-ending love story, Nearly at an interval every 3 months, we have an exam, and they are really tough. Viva after every unit, competency, small group discussions, self-directed learning, stage vivas, spotting exams. But these exams are a must if u want to become better.
