Remarks

Good faculty and the environment to study is good. But the placements are very bad. No good job opportunities.

Entrance Preview

I took MAT exam. I scored 90 percentile and hence I opted this college as it is located in my hometown. There was group discussion round and personal interview before the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is focussed on dual specialization. Here Marketing is compulsory and there is option for the other specialization. HR, finance and systems are the optional specializations. The course curriculum is good with projects in 3rd and 4th semester. The project has to be prepared with reference to the internships done in summer and winter.

Internships Opportunities

Two internships are provided. One in summer and the other in winter. However, there is no stipend paid in the internships. Projects have to be prepared at the end of the semester based on those internships. The internships are for a period of 2 months maximum.

Placement Experience

2

The placements are not good. Very few companies visit the campus. Almost 50% of the students in the final semester have to leave the college without any job placements. The job opportunities are scarce and mostly sales related jobs are offered. Very hard to get a job in this college. Even if you are academic rank is good, it is hard to get a job.

College Events

3

There are few cultural festivals. Management festivals along with games are held in the college. Some sporting events are also held. Debate competitions, group discussions and management games are held in the college. Cultural festivals like Saraswati Puja and Teacher's day are celebrated yearly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. About 3 lakhs course fees have to be paid. Plus there are examination fees and university enrolment fees to be paid. A total of 4 lakhs of rupees is paid for two years course. During admission the first semester fees of Rs. 1 lakh is to be paid. Then 75000 in 2nd and 3rd semester and lastly Rs 50000 in the fourth semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided only to the BBA or BCom students who have studied in the same college. No scholarships to other students from other colleges coming to study MBA. Loan facility is available for the students. Many banks are located nearby which provide loans to students.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is energetic and study oriented. Male and female students are equally divided almost. The gender ratio is about 1:0.9. There is rich diversity with students from all over the north eastern states coming to study. Extra curriculars like sports, group discussions and debate competitions are organised frequently. There is good computer lab facility with internet and wifi.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are good. Both boys and girls hostel are present inside the campus. More than 200 students can stay in the hostels. There is clear running water supply and electricity in the hostels. The rooms are clean and tidy. The mess food is upto the mark. Many do not like the mess food and eat outside.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very helpful and friendly. No ragging present inside the campus and hostel. The seniors are like friends to juniors and this maintains a good environment in the college.

Exam Structure

The exams are held at the end of every semester. Normally, there are a few day holidays in between each subject exam. The exam is for 3 hours per subject and sometimes mid semester exams are also held. For project work there is a powerpoint preparation exam and report writing. Exam Interviews are also conducted for the project work completed.

Admission

I cleared the group discussion round and then I went for the personal interview. I cleared that too and hence I was admitted to the college. There were about 10 candidates in a group during group discussion and a few were selected. I was one of them. During the personal interview round I was asked HR related questions.

Faculty

4

Many faculties present and each of them are skilled with the knowledge of the subject with which they teach to the students. Some faculties are very good and supportive. Some are highly qualified with P.H.D and doctoral degrees. Most of the faculties are very interested in teaching the students properly.
