The eligibility for this course is, you should have done 12th grade and if you have done a diploma of 3 years (polytechnic) then you can admit through LEET i.e. Lateral entry. For admission, you must fill out the form JEE and for lateral entry, you must have filled out a form HSTES. FOR reservations like a Scheduled class with income below 2,50,000 you will be charged very low and fees are also very low approximately 5,000 for the entire course (hostel charges are not included). They should focus more on practical rather than theoretical.

As Civil Engineering have scope in both sector i.e. private as well as government sector. And I found engineering is an interesting and stable course. Faculty members are very good in all aspects they teach well, take classes on time, behaviour is also good. The student ratio is normal as we can say 2:1(2 for boys and 1 for girls). All faculty members are postgraduate and some of them have doctorates also. The teaching method is good as they have a good experience. Exams are taken in December for odd sem and for even its in July and if you attend lectures and prepare notes then you can pass them easily.

They provide training in government departments like PWD, Irrigation. The stipend is not given for a short internship and if you want to take a private internship then you have to get it on your own. Projects like Railway over the bridge, highway laying, and building construction.

The fee for the course is 72,000 approximately per year. If you have reservations like Scheduled Classes having income below 2,50,000 then you can study mostly freely. They also provide relaxation for TFW (TUITION FEES WAVIER), and EWS(ECONOMICAL WEAKER SECTION). the scholarship for SC and BC is Post Matric Scholarship and if you are a TFW or EWS student then the scholarship form for these is provided by the university. They must be filled out during the admission process.

MDU fest is held in April-May month. They show you every cultural activity. Each department has it's a library and one central library is also built. You can find any book easily related to your course. They have literature books, magazines, and every newspaper. Each classroom has whiteboards so that projector work can also be done. In the field of sports MDU achieved many medals. Extra activities like you can join NCC and NSS. Every department has a different kinds of groups like Music groups, Dance groups etc.

They provide beds, chairs, and study tables. Each room has it's own balcony, Cupboard. The food is quite good, each day they provide different meals. After admission hostel forms are filled out according to your distance you will get a room. The fee for a hostel is approx 12,800 of which 5000 are mess security and 2000 are hostel security. So it's easy for everyone to afford. If you don't want to go to a hostel then you can take PG outside university in around 2 KM very easily.
