College review of Marian Engineering College

I have applied to different colleges like CET, Mar Baselious, and Marian Engineering college but I choose this college because it was near to my house and I got govt quota. Traveling is easy for me at this college. I got admission to this college based on the KEAM entrance allotment.

I choose Compute Science because I had an interest in the subject. Then the faculty in the college is very helpful. The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:30. The faculty is very friendly and very helpful in our studies. We need a minimum of 22.5 percent for attending University exams.

I got internships in 2 different companies during my college days. The first one is CDAC in Technopark Thiruvananthapuram and the second one is in UST Global. We got a stipend of 10 thousand for 2 months.

From semester 7 we are eligible for placement. We get multiple opportunities for the placement. If we got placed in one company then we cannot attend another company unless the company offers a higher salary than the currently offered salary. We need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for attending the placement according to the company.

There are two types of fees one is management and the other one is government quota. Both have the same fees but the management quota has to give some additional fees. NRI quota is also there where the fees are almost 4 lakh for the 1st year.

Campus life is pretty good during college days. A college festival named Tejasvi occurs every year in April. The Arts festival occurs during March of every year where we can show our skills. Sports day occurs in November of every year. There are many clubs like cyber clubs, nature clubs, and all. We can opt according to our interests.

There are faculties for taking our care. The food is pretty well most of the time. On alternate days we get non-veg foods and we can take a hostel during the admission time itself. If you need hostel faculty during the college days then you need to take special permission.

They will check our background which is in 10th and 12th grade. They will also check the KEAM entrance marks and they will give allotment according to the rank which we have. They will also judge our knowledge of the 12th class. There were only two rounds.
