Entrance Preview

Admission is carried out through JEE Main and marks obtained in 10+2. 66.6% seats form the State Quota while 33.3% seats in each discipline are reserved for Management Quota. Admissions to all seats are made on the basis of merit of JEE Main/ 10+2 marks.

Placement Experience

Senior faculty possessing Ph.D and Post-Graduate and degrees and having rich practical experience inputs technical training to the students.

Campus life was good there were always some kind of activities be it regarding fests or any other organisation like alumni function or regarding games competitions there we always done kind of workshops running in the college be it regarding the automobiles or debates or foreign language classes etc.

Hostel Facilities

College understand's that for most of their students it is their first time away from home, so college make sure that the transition is as smooth as possible and offer a comfortable and safe hostel environment within the campus. Facilities provided to students like:- Air cooler in each room. Arrangement for 24 hours uninterrupted power supply through Govt. power supply and College generators. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system etc etc.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Personally I don't know many of the alumnis but the interaction with the seniors was always there be then of our own departments or the other branches there were always there to help only because of our seniors I was able to get my job today.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was good not so much hectic. College has so many labs for their students such as Controls Lab. Instrumentation Lab. Theory of Machines Lab. VLSI, Strength of Materials Lab, Automobile Engg. Applied Thermodynamics Lab. Fluid Mechanics Lab. Surveying Lab. Manufacturing Processes Lab. Fluid Mechanics &- Fluid Machinery Lab etc.

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

The Life in Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The placement is the one of the strongest region in this college. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester,there is placement training program which makes students get ready for interviews, tests in placements. There are prominent companies who visited our college like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered by a company is Rs. 54LPA and average placement is Rs.8LPA. 90% of eligible students gets placements. My plans after degree is to study MBA and get into entrepreneurship and business.

CU from my view

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, we are eligible for placements. many multinational companies visited for placement such as Amazon, Google, Wipro and many more. The highest package is 36 lack per anum. Around 600 companies offer placement on campus every year.

A TRUSTED COLLEGE FOR A SAFE FUTURE

Placement Experience:

The campus offers good placement in amazon and other high digital online platforms. The placement completely depends on the rank of the students. Many companies such as Amazon and Birla group have visited the college. They also offer good jobs abroad with attractive salaries. Mostly in a year almost 30% of students are placed in job by the college itself. Rest 50% will surely get jobs in good companies if they have good academic statistics. After getting the degree, I would like to get job in foreign country like America and would like to settle there as the college also offers job in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was ready to choose btech course (civil engineering ).collage faculty was more than i expected. Collage was more friendly. As in the case of students was very good at college. And also our teachers are more friendly in studies and helping the students in studies.During the examination our teachers works well. And they are able to make the students to score good marks. Collage conduct exams as 4 sections in a year.
