Remarks

the admission process goes like this 50% of seats are for merit and 50% for management. you can get admission to a merit seat by writing the entrance exams and for the management seats, you have contacted the college. the admission process was quite easy and just need to present the required documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

in SCET it follows the KTU syllabus, it's not a very student-friendly curriculum even though everyone used to manage it. the faculties are very supportive and the ratio of faculty-students is 1 faculty per 20 students. there are also special advisors with whom you can discuss your problems.

you are eligible for placements from the 6 th semester onwards. the criteria are that you should not have any backlogs and your GPA should be greater than 7. the placement cell is very helpful. companies like TCS, BYJUS,Infosys

there hasn't been a fee hike and the cost of study is just as normal as any other college. you find different fees structure for merit seat and management seat students which is quite common. there are also several government-provided as well as privet scholarships. it changes from time to time

-annual fest and tech fest are conducted periodically. if it's an anual fest this year in the coming year tech fest is conducted. speaking of libraries SCET has one of the biggest libraries in Kerela. sports days are also conducted yearly along with art day. There are many technical as well as a nontechnical organizations like IEEE, NSS in the college

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
