Review on Mepco schlenk engineering college

I have joined Mepco schlenk engineering college using counseling conducted by anna university Chennai. To join this college you can try both ways through counseling conducted by anna university or through a management course. For joining the management quota , you have to reach the office which is available on a college campus. If you avail yourself of the seat using the Counselling quota, you have a lesser fee compared to the management quota. The current way of admission process is sufficient.

I have chosen mechanical engineering, to learn about different manufacturing processes and to become the CEO of an automotive company. I have much interested to learn about different machining processes and assembly processes.

From the 6th semester onwards I have become eligible for placements. TVS group, Rane group, cognizant, Infosys, Lakshmi machine works. I have got 4 offers. The highest offer is 8 lakhs per annum. Around 70%of students were placed in IT and 10% were placed in core companies. I have opted to go for a job.

Fees hike is very high and fees are very much high. Whereas if you have chosen the option for a hostel, it will be very high. But colleges provide scholarships for students scoring CGPA above 9. You can get assistance in terms of scholarships and loans.

Each and every year the college will conduct both cultural and technical symposiums in a grand manner. They will call Engineering colleges all around India and give accommodation for them also. The college is very good at conducting the symposium and students are involved. There is a separate block for the library and a good amount of books. Classrooms are having projectors and good amenities. College will not give importance to sports and extracurricular activities. Many clubs are run by students like ASME , IEEE.
