You have to clear the expo exam first to admit to this college, Secondly, you can choose the college name when you counsel the college, and as per selection if you're marking is good enough, you can go further. If you have enough marks, then you have to print out some eligibility papers and submit them to the college staff room. Then you have to fill in some basic details in the form. And then you are ready to go to college.

There are mainly 6 semesters in a 3-year diploma course, so you have approx 5 - 6 months in every exam. And as per difficulties, it's not too much as the teachers are so good here, they clear your doubt before every exam and they are so friendly.

At first, when college started then few companies were willing to come here to get a job, but now every year a lot of students started their journey to work with good companies. In recent last year, more than 60% of students are placed in some good companies.

As per the fee structure, I assume it's affordable for anyone from the top to the bottom class. Every semester you have to pay some semester fee, and every year you have to pay. That's it. And you can apply for any scholarship from this college, there are many options, and you can choose one of them. And the college offers good campusing after pass out, so don't worry. And start your journey.

Campus Life

The teachers and staff all are very friendly. They guide students in friendly manners. There are a library, workshop, computer room and nonetheless common room, a canteen. Good hygiene is always maintained. Tech fest and annual fest are one of the best moments in here, where every teacher and student participates and enjoys their day. Many cultural and social fests organize here

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

From 5th semester students are eligible for campusing. Badve autotech pvt ltd. A1 fence products pvt. Ltd. Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

A person can get admission to this college through JEXPO which is an entrance exam held once a year. The eligibility for JEXPO is that: 1. One must be Indian 2. The students must pass class 10 with West Bengal Board or with equivalent boards 3. The candidates must be born before July 1, 2007. The official website for polytechnic related queries, JEXPO related exams can be solved through the official website which is wbscte.co.in.On this site, we can access the application form of JEXPO. The application form fee for JEXPo is Rs.500. JEXPO is held around the month of September. Else the admission process is pretty good. As I am from an electrical branch so a candidate must be around the rank of 10500 to get into Ranaghat Govt. Polytechnic for GENERAL category and for others like Sc, ST would around 20000. Well, cutoff rank varies year by year but the rank would be closer to what I have stated. In the case of reservation, there is 22% reservation for SC and 6% for ST and 5% for physically challenged students....Read More
