Remarks

Students who passed the 10th class with 35% marks overall are eligible for this course. The application fee is 1300. This college has a very good campus and teachers are eco friendly with students. Our classrooms are very clean.

Course Curriculum Overview

I love to learn about machines that's why I choose this course. In this college, the mechanical department is very good. Exams are not so tough. If one can study 3 hours in a day they should easily pass the exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

If you get 60% marks then you are eligible for the Swami Vivekananda scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is 18000 per year. This is a government college so the fees structure is not so high. Middle class families and lower middle class families easily do the course.

Campus Life

In this college campusing system is very good. Every year many companies have come and taken good students for the job. In this college, a very good library is held. All books related to diploma courses are available in the library.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 5th semester are available for seats on the campus. Around 50-60 companies are coming here. And 100% placement happens. Everyone gets at least 1-3 jobs. And here placement cell is very strong. DS sir is the main placement coordinator here.

Placement Experience:

I want highlight placement details here - the following companies came for placement: - L&T, JSPL, Vesuvius, Kiswok Industries, SRMB TMT, Bharat Engineering Limited, BRGD Ingot Pvt Ltd, Patil, Reshmi Metaliks, Tata Metaliks (Kharagpur). All this companies offer average 15000/month some offers more than 16000/month. For getting job students must maintain 75% attendance and a 7.5 CGPA minimum. I have not taken any job because I am doing B-tech now on Metallurgy.

EIJE is best for Mechanical and Metallurgy students

Placement Experience:

Reshmi metals, Tata metals, JSPL, BRGD, TMPL, Kiswok industries limited, Patton India came for placement and offer an average of 13000/per month but the first two companies offer 15000/month as per student caliber. For getting a job in the placement you have to maintain 75% attendance and a 7.5 CGPA minimum. 26 Students out of 30 are placed remaining four are girls so as per the criteria of the companies they don't secure the position. I have an offer but I am doing B-Tech so I refuse that.

Placement Experience:

There are no official placement in the Architecture department but the faculty members will guide you to find jobs in your career They will guide you the right way in your career. The average package in Kolkata for a diploma in Architecture is 7-10000/- per month. My advice is to go for B.Arch or B.Tech Civil for a high gross in salary as well as a career in your life.

A person can get admission to this college through JEXPO which is an entrance exam held once a year. The eligibility for JEXPO is that: 1. One must be Indian 2. The students must pass class 10 with West Bengal Board or with equivalent boards 3. The candidates must be born before July 1, 2007. The official website for polytechnic related queries, JEXPO related exams can be solved through the official website which is wbscte.co.in.On this site, we can access the application form of JEXPO. The application form fee for JEXPo is Rs.500. JEXPO is held around the month of September. Else the admission process is pretty good. As I am from an electrical branch so a candidate must be around the rank of 10500 to get into Ranaghat Govt. Polytechnic for GENERAL category and for others like Sc, ST would around 20000. Well, cutoff rank varies year by year but the rank would be closer to what I have stated. In the case of reservation, there is 22% reservation for SC and 6% for ST and 5% for physically challenged students....Read More
