Remarks

College is very good for learning and implementing point of view. The hostel is the best place where I enjoy a lot with my friends and the only problem about the university hostel which is the food provided in the mess which is not delicious neither variation.

Entrance Preview

The admission process is that you should be eligible according to your choice of schools. Minimum of 60% in intermediate is required to apply for SU Admission test(SUAT).

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure here in this university matches the international standards they have a very good faculty team for each progressive semesters and it also has a department called Research and Technology department which also encourages the interested students to work with them.

Internships Opportunities

Sharda University provides internship to every student who is interested. A neat and clean resume will be required to apply for internship and a general stipend is 10k at the beginning.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is not a problem in this University. It depends on the student who is able to take part in placement tests and build their resume good in terms of higher chance to get selected. Last year many companies like IBM, Tech Mahindra etc came to our college and have a record of 94% placement record. We are hoping many other companies to visit our university because this year due to the success rate had increased in previous successive years.

College Events

4.5

Being a Sharda student I must say I enjoy a lot of the events happening in the school. Every year one of the biggest events in North India called Chorus makes the University full of life and fun enjoyable place. Many tech fests regarding every stream of schools are conducted here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Studying in a multidisciplinary college always involves big budget investment but here in Sharda, there is a preference for a scholarship for students who are consistently achieving good grades. Comparing to other universities and infrastructure I do not find the fees to be high because it facilitated the requirement of the student very well.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I discussed earlier there is a scholarship scheme for students having consistent high grades in each of the semesters. I do not know about the loan facility but maybe banks would be responsible and act as a third party. Students can confirm it by going to Accounts department.

Campus Life

4.5

There is an anti-ragging committee which is very good I found in the university and I really appreciate their effort. There is zero tolerance for ragging inside as well as outside campus. You can see many different faces from all over the world giving a cultural diversity. Lots of seminars, webinars, and workshops are happening in the campus which is very good for the career development aspect.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are four boys hostel and 3 girls hostel with very good facilities. Three of them are for the national students and one for the international students. Each room consists of two beds and a two separate tables and chairs. Accessibility is very good but I would like to say the food of the mess is not that good as I expected to be but somehow satisfactory.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful in terms of providing the resources and helping for projects and subject matters as well. They conduct various seminars and workshops which help us to learn more from them. There is an alumnus network which is vast and all always ready to help for the guidance.

Exam Structure

Exams are frequent when you join this university the first week of the classes will begin normally but as the week passes by they conduct their weekly tests for every subject, in the beginning, it was hard and boring but realised that my mid term and end term was very very good due to the continuous assessments and assignments as well.

Admission

I had some seniors who were pursuing the civil engineering degree in Sharda University and I was interested in computer science department I researched about this University and found out to be the best university in Delhi NCR. I gave the SUAT exam held in the year 2014 where I got shortlisted and called for further admission process which includes interviews etc.

Faculty

4

As I said initially the team of faculty consists of well deserved and qualified teachers and professors. Most of them have Masters Degree and every Head of the Department is PhDs and there are international faculties too. Teachers and Professors are very specific to their courses and hence they can teach very well and take part in student idea exchange also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
