Department of legal studies and research,Barkatullah University Bhopal

Eligibility for this course is student should have passed 12th class from recognized education board any state and central board and should have passed 12th board with 45% or equivalent. When I took admission to the Department of legal studies and research Barkatullah University, the admission was based on the 12th percentage but in 2022 the admission procedure changed, Now the department of legal studies and research Barkatullah University is accepting admission based on CUET which is conducted by NTA based on the merit of CUET student will get enrolled. Till now no admission is there through CUET so as of now no Idea about the cut-off for this year. Reservation is there for SC, ST, and OBC students.

I am interested in this field so I choose this course. There are 40 faculty members in the department of legal studies and research and all of them is Ph.D. holder also their teaching method is good. Exams are conducted timely based on the academic calendar and exams are conducted at a decent difficulty level.

For internships students have to find companies and firms on their own, department does not provide any internships here, faculty will only support them. so students have to work hard to get an internship opportunity. Some projects are given to students but are not sufficient.

The fees for this course are 21000/ year. Students can avail of scholarships such as the Medhavi scholarship for MP students who have 85% above and ST, SC, and obc students can avail of post-matric scholarships. Students can avail of hostel facility also it will cost less than staying outside.

Many annual fests are conducted by various departments in the university and these fests are conducted the whole year. Many fests are organized by students. There is one central library and every department has its separate library also. In the central library, students can find all the books related to various fields and in the departmental library, students can get books related to their field. Many sports competition is conducted by various departments and also extra curriculum activities are organized by departments. Social groups and clubs are there for students to improve their personalities.
