Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a student of BCA And highly satisfied with the faculty. The course is well defined and we have semester exams which is a very good initiative so that we can check out our knowledge every 6 months! it also develops competition among the students which also motivates them to score well! The teachers are helpful to students and explain every essence. They are well qualified and professional in their field. They teach us in such a manner that we understand well. This course has a large scope for a career. The university makes every single student ready for their future.
Internships Opportunities
The students in the third year are required to undergo internships during the summer for at least 1.5 months. There are various project areas that one has to research depending on their branch, a list of which is available on the university website and is released every year during summer.
Placement Experience
Placement in college is average. Many service-based companies visit the campus, but rarely any product based yet. Around 90% of students in the computer science department get an offer. But BCA is still on verge of progression. Recently, students have bagged better offers through off-campus placements as well. The highest package has been 14LPA and the lowest 2LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
15,000 per year. scholarship assistance was also there for the female candidates. campus hiring wasn't provided by the college. Govt scholarships are also there. Financial assistance was there but campus placement wasn't there. The students in the third year are required to undergo internships during the summer for at least 1.5 months. Campus Life
There are various clubs on the campus, including a literary club, a dance club, a sports club, a coding club, etc that regularly conduct competitions. First, recently a three-day tech event was organized by the coding club. There is also a team of NSS volunteers elected each year that survey and help the people in the area around the campus. There is one functional library in the new building of the campus, which is okay but does not have many literary works. Classrooms, especially in the new building, are great. There is no air conditioning in the library or the classes yet. Our annual fest is Holi conducted in March and the tech fest is coding competitions conducted at a suitable time which is decided by seniors. There is a big library which has thousands of books and journals. There is a sports club which conducts many sports matches and events like volleyball, football, basketball, cricket, chess, carrom, etc. Social groups Instagram coding clubs, poet confessions, etc. Linked
Hostel Facilities
There are around 200 inmates in the girls' hostel. The mess menu is purely vegetarian, and we do not get snacks in the evening. There are many PGs and rooms available around the campus, near the Jankipuram police station. After all admission rounds, the hostels release their form on the university website which is to be filed online with a fee of Rs.50. Once your name appears in the selection list, you have to get your documents verified at the hostel and get your allotted room number. The girls' hostel is triple sharing whereas the boys' hostel is both single as well as triple sharing. Almost all girls get the hostel vacancy, but in the boys' hostel selection is done based on merit in the entrance exam(JEE Mains) and other factors like distance from hometown. The girls' hostel does not have wifi and washing machines yet, whereas the boys' hostel has that already. The only con of the hostel is that rooms are reallocated every year. Hostel Fee : INR 71000
