Remarks

The college management were good. They managed the institution very well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for humanities stream. I took master of arts in English literature. I had a keen interest in literature and wanted to be teacher of professor. The completed course was of two years. The course was divided into four semesters. Each semester has a qualifying exam for the next semester. The course made me a complete person. I see myself before opting for literature and after the completion of course. I feel a self satisfaction as well as a changed and complete man. It has shaped my views for the society, life, struggles, lifestyle, politics, socio-politics, psychology of people, etc. And it's still helping me to figure out the struggle I frequently have in my life.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes, there are a lot of companies that held placements in the institution. To name a few are Aegis, Doordarshan, zee news, Infosys, and a lot many others.

College Events

4.5

Every year there are various cultural festivals, events, pedagogical events, workshops, seminars, are held. Cultural programs are held at the time of convocation of the university. In it a number of students participate in various sections like poetry, drama, debate, extempore, story writing, slogan etc. Winners are awarded by the chief guests every time. In pedagogical workshops or seminars, there happens talks upon the art and science of teaching. A lot of exhibitions are also organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For some courses fees are feasible. If you take admission on a regular seat, you have to pay less. But in self financed admission, the fees are too expensive. University of Lucknow is a state university which the state government run and affiliated to university grant commission. Many underprivileged and poor students get scholarships also to carry on there respective courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

I opted for a scholarship which was state associated scholarship for students. I received almost 10000 rupees from the state government as scholarship.

Campus Life

5

The institution produces a good number of people who are the best in debates, Sports, arts, singing, writing, politics etc. There are lot of alumnus who are holding respective jobs. Some are professors, some are diplomats, some are singers, politicians, leaders, writer, poets, sportsperson etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

I haven't opted for the hostel as I live in the same city. Still the hostels are well kept with clean rooms dormitory, kitchen, playing area, garden, lawn, library, etc. Also the fee for the hostels are pocket friendly.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were quite supportive. There were no thing of ragging. They used to help us whenever we need any help regarding syllabus, study materials, books, notes or any other

Admission

The application form for admission was released by the university. I applied completing all the credentials. I was called for counselling on the basis of merit and I got the admission in the institution. I opted for humanities stream. I took master of arts in English literature. It was a two year course with four semesters. Each semester had an examination. I cleared each exam and passed out successfully.

Faculty

5

There were 4 lectures per day of 2 hrs each. In my syllabus, there were British literature from chaucer to present day, American literature, Australian literature, Indian literature, India literature in translation, film and literatures, dramatics, phonetics, Canadian literature, African literature and so on. All my assistant professors, associate professors and professors were highly educated and highly experienced in there respective paper. Dr. Nishi Pandey is so good professor as well as a guide to us. She has shaped everyone's life. Rest of the professors were so talented.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Remarks:

My college provide best education and hostel facility in india.Security is very good. Managment is very good.Transport facility inside the campus in now very good. Placements : The institute actually has very good placement records due to its outstanding alumni and also due to the presence of placement and training cell working day and night to indulge its students with skills and leadership. So, the placements in our college have never been a problem. Infrastructure : With almost hundred years on the calendar, our campus is luxurious from inside and filled with modern day necessities from inside. We have every resource that a student wants in his college life such as largely spaced room, Wi-Fi everywhere around the campus and many more things. So, the campus is unmatched. Faculty : The faculty members are nice, and I found them very helping and motivating. On the other hand, the course curriculum is a bit boring but essential too. A load of academics is very less compared to other IITs and hence students can do anything they want and could carry on their interest. I feel very proud to be a part of IIT BHU. Other : There are three main fests in our college, Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha. All the fests are held at very high level. Participation from many IITs, NITs and other different colleges from many parts of India make our fests super big and exciting.
