Remarks

To be eligible, you have to take and clear the KEAM entrance exam. The average cutoff rank for merit seat is 21000, whereas for management it goes till 40000. You can also get in through spot admission or NRI quota. As required by the govt, a stipulated percentage of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC students. To apply for this college, you have to select this college during the allotment process conducted by CEE, which is done immediately after the publication of the rank. Expect for the NRI seats, where you have to contact the college separately, there is no specific application form to apply.

Course Curriculum Overview

They are reasonably knowledgeable about their domain of topics. The average faculty-student ratio is 1:50. The Term exams are conducted by the KTU which is the same for all colleges under its control. They are relatively easy if you know the basics well.

The students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. The most common companies are TCS, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, etc. The highest package last year was 9LPA. The average salary is 3.6 LPA. All the eligible students are placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For merit seat: 35000/- INR per year, For management seat: 65000/- INR per year, For NRI seats: 100000/- INR per year, Moreover, there are many scholarships provided to students based on their academic performance as well as financial status.

Campus Life

The annual tech fest is Lumiere. It is generally conducted in the month of February. Various books pertaining to a vast variety of topics are present in the library. The classrooms have all the basic amenities like projectors etc. There are many student clubs like IEDC, IEEE, and Tinkerhub, NSS, etc.

Yeah they do have placement here and they prefer their students more which is good and most of the time they give placement as teaching assistants. Sometimes only in the plant but mostly it's for TA and especially if you are doing your masters here it is so good

Pros and cons of NIT CALICUT

Placement Experience:

Qualcomm, ibs,Infosys etc visits. Highest package was 55 lakhs. Average package is 20 lakhs. Nearly 100 % placement in computer science engineering. After degree joining get a job through campus placement.

I got this course through keam exam. It is a Kerala engineering exam conducted by keral for engineering apparents. We can find the application form in the keam site. There is exam fee for it and it varies in reservation. The total timing will be around 6 hrs and we need to focus on the subject maths, physics, and chemistry. Eligibility of the course was keam score. Also a 75% above score in +2 make a decent admission at the college... I didn't have much of a benefit but I did get some reduction based on. OBC reservation. Application form was sent online as a pdf and was told to fill and submit on the day we went to the college.
