Remarks

To get admission to the BCA program at IGNOU Delhi, first, you have to submit your online application form. The first round includes submitting the application form and the second consists of the selection of applicants based on their overall qualification and availability of admission seats. For a few courses the admission criteria include appearing for the entrance examination but for BCA, admission is only based on the merit of applicants.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of the BCA program is divided into six semesters and each semester includes about 4-6 subjects. Each semester includes both theoretical and practical subjects. At the end of each term, students are required to paper for semester examinations. Only after clearing all examinations by scoring passing scores and submitting all assignments as required, students will be able to receive their course degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for the BCA program at IGNOU for the batch of 2018-22 is INR 36,000/-, which students have to pay in instalments at the start of each semester. The total fee for each semester is INR 6000/- + students also have to pay an examination fee in order to appear for the examination. There are also many scholarship programs that students can apply for only if they meet the required eligibility criteria sn other mentioned requirements.

Campus Life

Campus life at IGNOU is really ongoing and fun. IGNOU Delhi has its regional centre in north and south Delhi where you can get your books, and join various ongoing activities, events, and festivities. IGNOU study centres also host various activities and events for students such as drama, music, outings, etc. Study centres also have a library, cafeteria, and other facilities for students from where you can borrow books and use the facilities.

Placements are also very good for a bachlor course my seniors have got package upto 4lpa and many are placed as junior developer in many MNCs . Some are building their own business . overall best college in Delhi Ncr for bca without maths students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i really like things about electronics, i feel attracted towards computer and stuff from childhood, then after opting computer science in 12th , i know what i want to do and chose this course. Talking about the faculty members, there is more than enough faculty members to handle the students, actually its more like a School where if one teacher is absent then some other teacher take the class. As far as the qualification of teachers is considered, i feel like they know how to teach there partiy subject, and that should be more than enough for students, teachers are nice and supportive towards students which i like the most about them. There are 2 semester in each year of course, in each semester there is one mid term exams and one end term exam, internal practical and external practical exams were akso held in each semester, and difficulty of exams is not so high, actually our teachers says that in IPU the more you write, the more you marks you get.

Remarks:

Can't say, first of all it's distance education and the lifestyle is such that it's ok to have what they have offered us in such a price range. Classes take place on weekends and hence you can hang out with friends outside the premises.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths.
