Overall a decent college

The basic eligibility is to obtain a 55% aggregate in PCS subjects in your PUC (+2). You can enquire about the college and course by telephone but still, there is no online admission. You have to admit yourself via offline mode. The application form and course structure can be obtained from the admission section. if you scored above 90% in your PCS subjects, you can avail 25% of a scholarship. The college should bring internship opportunities and extra courses.

I choose this course for my passion for computer science and technology. There are 10 facilities including HOD. students around 200-240. So the student: faculty ratio will be around 20:1. Most of the faculty are M tech graduates and some of them have Ph.D. mca and a lot more. They have participated in many global events and submitted many research reports. The exams are conducted by VTU. The syllabus may be outdated but it is still efficient and punctual in conducting exams and publishing results, unlike other universities. The result will be out in 2-3 months. The exams are simple to pass. Out of 200 marks, you only have to attend for 100 marks.

Students are getting placed in the 6th semester itself. companies like TCS, Wipro, and cognizant visit the campus yearly. This year around 50 candidates are placed. The highest package is 9 LPA and the average lies between 3-5 LPA. My plan after my studies is to move abroad for a master's degree.

The fees have been in hike over the years. This year they introduced tie-ups with IBM and TCS by providing integrated courses for students to know much more about the working knowledge and insights. As said earlier, you can avail 25% scholarship if you secured 90% or above marks in PCS. The college also provides numerous state-funded and central-funded scholarships. The campus placement is good for computer science. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and many startups visit the college.

Campus life is pretty moderate. The campus is small. It is filled with greenery which makes it pleasant. There is a dedicated football ground. The annual fest conducted is called Yensplash. It has a lot of cultural and musical events. There are many technical fests and talks conducted. There are around 25,000 books in the library which include eBooks. The classroom size is large with a projector in every classroom. Speaking about sports, the college organizes YSL and YPL(football and cricket tournaments) every year. Every year they conduct a sports event.
