Remarks

I had to appear in NEET UG and qualify to get admission to this college. Admission in this course is thorough AQI, state quota, and insured person quota. In the case of the insured person quota, the wards of IPs who have qualified for the exam are admitted through an interview process.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are good and take great interest in teaching the students. The research scope is less. Frequent exams and semesters were conducted in the college much more in comparison to other state medical colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Placement Experience

Internship in various departments is provided and is compulsory for all. It is a one-year paid internship with a 23.5 k monthly stipend. The internship experience is good with great seniors who are always ready to help, but patients are fewer as only the insured persons receive treatment over here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Earlier it was 24k yearly but now it has become 1lac per year and 24k for IP students respectively. There was a service bond of five years for all with a fine of 7.5 lacs but now it is valid only for IP students and the bond has been reduced to 3 years and a 10 lacs fine.

Campus Life

Everything is good about the college except that the patient variety is less and the people working in the administration are not at all student-friendly. The biggest disadvantage is the post MBBS service bond. Although the college provides everything needed by the students during the course. all the amenities are provided in large numbers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

For getting admission to medical college, one has to qualify NEET UG and secure a decent rank for the admission process. Counseling for mobs course takes place on the MCC site and based on rank, category, and preference you are allowed college. For this ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE JOKA KOLKATA : Counseling by AQI, State quota, and IP (insure person) quota.
