Remarks
The admission process is very simple. Have to qualify to jee mains for Btech courses. To get computer science in the general category you have to score more than 95 percentile. After jee mains result, apply in the hstes counselling. You should remain updated about the counselling process. you can refer to youtube channels like Raghav zone for admission updates. Reservations are given on the basis of category and there is a special reservation for Kashmiri migrants. But physical counselling is very hectic. It takes so much time. Its management should be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a computer engineering student. course and curriculum are according to AICTE. I choose this course because this has the highest placements. Faculties are awesome and have good knowledge in their field. Most teachers are phd holders. Except for some teachers, all are very cooperative and students friendly semester exams are not tough mostly paper comes from the class notes and sessionals. You can easily pass the exams by studying a week before the exams. pass percentage is 40 and you have to maintain 75 per cent attendance.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is mostly to crab off campus ...and in campus non-popular company visited and offer stipend around 40 - 50 k. Most students do not get internships very few to get those who are determined and have deep knowledge of coding. But after the internship, it is easier to get a placement.
Placement Experience
The only thing that attracts the students to YMCA is its placements. Placements are good as compared to other colleges of the same level. I am a computer science student and the average annual package is around 6 lakh and if you are a more than average student then you can get 10 to 15 lakhs. Above that depends on your skill, the highest package is around 30 lakhs. Major companies are Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, Maruti, honda and TCS is a mass recruiter.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition Fees are quite reasonable as compared to other colleges. My first semester fees is 55000 and second-semester fees are 44000 and hostel fees are. 24000 for 1 year and mess fees is 4000 per month. Different types of scholarships are available. Like category-wise, there is some relaxation for obc and sc categories. A good reward is also provided to the toppers of the batch.
Campus Life
The annual fest literally sucks. I have never seen a fest on our campus they make excuses for the corona. The library is very small. If you do not go at the semester start then you will not get books. Sports is only for those who are in clubs other students who are not in a sports club is not allowed to play.
Other Applied Colleges
National Institute of Technology - [NIT], Kurukshetra | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
I'm getting mechanical there
