Remarks

Admission is only based on merit. According to marks in ug courses. In our college management seats are also available. But it has a huge fee also. All affliated colleges under calicut university has only one registration process( in case ofmerit seat). We can choose colleges in base of our comfort. Seat reservations are available. For casts, physically handicaped categories and also sports and arts. I think entrance based admission is better than merit-based admission. It is also under consideration of university. I am satisfied with everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have an interest in economics that's why I choose this course for ug and pg also. Nowadays we know the importance of economics in our developing country. Faculty members are also good. But classrooms need to be improved. Most of our teachers have a doctorate in specific topics. They are trying to be capable to present confidently. That's why they will give us topics and present a seminar at least once in 2 months. Ma economics is a two-year program divided into 4 semesters. University exams will be conducted twice a year. Marks are divided into external and internal. Internal marks are based on activity in classroom attendance, marks in internal exams, presentation and submission of seminars, etc. And external is the mark what we got in semester exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

In merit-based admission, there are no extra fees other than tuition fee (almost 1000) and special fee(around 2000). There are fee considerations for financially weak scholars. There are a lot of scholarships based on study performance and caste considered.

Campus Life

4.5

A lot of fests are conducted every year. Fests related to special days like onam, eid, Vishu, etc, and arts, and sports with all departments support and individual department programmes. All departments will conduct many variety programmes related to their department. And competition between departments is more interesting. We have a wide library with a collection of several types of books. Reference, literature, etc. Gymnasium, football, basketball, shuttle, hockey and also other sports facilities available. And we have the right to use all facilities on the university campus. Like swimming pool gymnasium library etc. Our college has the best football team and rustling team among all affiliated colleges under Calicut university. Our college has a brief and wide history of students who got different opportunities and are very known in university.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I am in college hostel which is situated in college campus seperated by a wall. Quality of food is better than others. Menu is choosing by students. Every month we will change menu. As we need. According to nowadays, idli sambar, putt kadala. And others are included. For lunch 5 days fully vegitarian rice with 2-3 dishes, curry and pappadam. And one day includes fish and another day ghee rice with chicken kuruma. Evening time 3 days will be have snacks like fried onion, fried babana or something like it. For dinner 3 days will rice 1 day will be chicken biryani 1 day chapati and another day will be poori. 2 students are in a room. Two coats 3 tables and seperate ward drop and cupboarda are available. Iron box is available. First we want to fill application form and advance for 6 months room rent 17500 rs. 5000 is caution deposit. Course Curriculum Overview:

In my opinion my course MA History is very very traditional. As a student who learn this could only became a Lecture by the syllabus and curriculum. But the improvement in archealogy related pracrical sessions and multi-subject learning by blending it with more geography and politics could make the course more effective and also job securing.

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Companies like Federal Bank, Deloitte mostly offered. Since we had no placements, iam focusing currently on content creation and writing, actively working with online media due to my creative interest.

I got to know more about the rules and regulations, and functionality of my country during the course. the course teaches the structure of Indian democracy, its functions etc. It digs deep into politics of the country making sure that when students graduate they have enough info to face reality with politics for india. we learned about constitutions and structure of many major countries. Exams were conducted not according to the rest of the students for us. we had late exams and hence late results and late graduation. difficulty level of exams if you study well enough you can crack it. its theory based degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good. At some points, it needs revision. The subjects feel ancient. The teaching also need to be improved. The typical lecture method is very unhelpful. Instead they should introduce digital learning. Also the course lacks in-hand experience on the subject. Rather than the robotic manual learning there's no activity involved

Course curriculum is great and it helps us to prepare for the real world applications and also for the further academic pursuits.By the materials for the syllabus were most not available so it was so difficult for us to prepare for the exams and also the faculty face it so hard to teach us without proper materials. Also the face difficulty in the question level as we are forced to write the exams without proper materials. Our exams were not properly conducted they have published the exam date all of a sudden eventhough we studied semester wise they conducted exams yearly and 1&2 semester together it had us so hard to prepare for exams. Also our valuation was not properly done so only fews percentage of the students were only passed in the exams. The carelessness of the authorities spoiled life of many students like us.
