Remarks

The eligibility of the course was an aggregate of 75%, which I had and joined through the KCET. I had to fill out online forms from the college to get an ID card. It cost about 700Rs. There is a special reservation for OBC and sc/st. The admission process was fairly simple and very necessary. And through the KCET admission order, it was, even more, simpler and really not as expensive as it was a government seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was really fascinating in the fact that I learned from the subjects that were thought and also had a really good scope besides Computer science which I didn't get for my rank. The faculty were all good with a very good knowledge base and were really teaching good. The faculties were all phd holders and had a number of resear5papers published toward their names. The term exams were very timely and were on point and the topics that were asked were really important.

Placement Experience

3

The placement training starts in the 6th semester and the actual placement starts in the 7th semester. The companies that visited our university were BOSCH, DELL, etc. The highest package offered was 17lakh and the lowest package offered was 5lakh. Almost 80% of the total eligible students were placed. After the degree am to work my way through for success and gain a lot of experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I joined through KCET a government-induced entrace exam for engineering colleges. The fees were really not that expensive it was totally worth paying for the course at that amount. And as this was a government admission order the fees had to stay the same for all 4 years. There were no scholarships or any other financial assistance given by the university.

Campus Life

3

There was no annual college fest held at this university. But there were a few small celebrations like ethnic day and freshers day. The college library had a very vast collection of books and had all the relevant technical information needed for an engineer. There is a sports room with indoor activities like carrom, badminton, etc. And also outdoor activities like basketball, football and cricket. The college is present in an isolated area a little bit distant from malls and other social areas.

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.
