Remarks
The admission process was really easy and I got 86 percentile in my JEE mains because of that I was not getting much better college in the General category so I opted for this one as a much far better option than others. For the admission process, due to the Covid pandemic, everything was conducted online only. For admission in B.Tech with CSE Trend, students should have scored more than 80% on 12th boards and must have scored more than 80 percentile in JEE Mains. After qualifying, a simple interview was conducted and I have been assigned to a proctor who guided me at all the steps and I got admitted successfully.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B. Tech in CSE because I already have a lot of interest in the technical field and it provides better exposure to learning every day from the world. It makes the overall thinking of the student very practical in tackling real-world problems. In my faculty, only 60 students are there in each class and the professors are really highly remarkable, they have attained their education from top colleges and have done a lot of research works as well, which is even published. Every three months, we have Mid-Term exams and the Term End exams are also conducted after the end of semester studies.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities available for the students and proper mail is also circulated from the college side so that more students can apply. The different stream internships are available including technological, human resources, and non-tech internships are available too. The hackathons and contests are also there for the students to provide opportunities to enrich their resumes.
Placement Experience
In the fourth year, students can sit for the eligibility exam for the placement and after getting selected, the final aptitude test along with the coding round is conducted. If got selected in that, the final HR interview will be scheduled and final confirmation of the employment will be made. There are many companies that visit the college such as Microsoft, Accenture, Intel, Goldman Sachs, etc. The percentage of students getting placements after completing their degree in the 4th year is around more than 90%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees to be paid are 198000 as tuition fees for CSE students in B.Tech. The same amount of fees is there as hostel fees too. The scholarship facility is also available, by giving the VITEEE Exam which is conducted every year and VIT has a good placement record in the country. It provides 100% placements to the students and let them grow further in their career through different opportunities.
Campus Life
The campus life is good and you will be getting different facilities such as proper sanitation, sports, a gym, and many more. The annual fest named "Advitya" was hosted by the college and many events were organized for the students in the month of April. The library facilities are also good and many books are available based upon your convenience, which can be issued by your Student ID card. Sports events are also organized such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, etc. There are different clubs in the college like Mathematical Club, AI Club, E-Cell, Insights Club, etc., where different activities and events are organized for the development of the students.
Hostel Facilities
The room provided in the hostel was really very spacy and proper ventilation was also provided. The mess timings were fixed for the morning, afternoon, evening snacks, and dinner. The separate canteen facility is also available where students can purchase soft drinks, chocolates, and other kinds of stuff. The hostel rooms while the admission only, get allotted to the partners and after a month, students have the option to change it as well. There were many issues too in the hostel, like drinking, bathroom cleaning, restrictions, etc.
Interview Experience
Due to the COVID pandemic in the session 2020, the admissions were directly based on the percentage of Board Exams (12th), JEE Percentile, and Interview. In the Interview, the questions related to your ability, skills, and technological stacks are being asked and after completing it, based on the scores, the departments are offered for taking admission. There is not much need for preparing for the interviews, because that is just the personality round-up discussion, where anything related to you can be asked.
