Remarks

Very professional management. Conferences, events and roundtables are quite informative and well conducted by management.

Entrance Preview

XAT with 75 percentile. You can apply for the course with CMAT, CAT, and MHCET. Scores above 75 percentile should be good enough for Welingkar Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course is enriched with curriculum updated as per industry requirements and it changes every year. Subjects introduced in my second year like advance business analytics was a valuable addition for those who were interested in research and analytics. Harward Business case studies are prominently used on daily basis.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, stipend varies but could be averaged at Rs 15000 per month. It goes upto Rs 50000 per month and in some cases there are no stipend but performance linked incentives.

Placement Experience

4

CMC, the placement cell work hard bringing companies to our campus. Regular recruiters covers the majority of placement opportunities. Number of Information technology, market research, retail, operation, finance, business to business sales and business to consumer sales related companies visit the campus.

College Events

4

Global citizen leadership program for first year students plays a vital role. Summer internship competition brings the challenge to second year students. And number of events like Marketing, Finance, Operation roundtable. NHRD events are also managed by Welingkar students and facilitate new perspective and happenings in the Human Resource vertical.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible when compared with other institutions. Rs 11 to 12 lacs including hostel and food. Bangalore is expensive to live in. You will have to manage your expenses wisely. Current hostel which is Uniworld is 3 kilometers away from college and provide all the amenities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not sure or aware of any. Student exchange program with a reputed university in Sweden with a scholarship program is available for the students.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is quite acceptable. Huge number of competitions and events, to name a few, best business idea, wecafe, hobby kitchen, and a lot more. Every week you will find something new to work on and it will also hone your skills to the next level.

Hostel Facilities

4

It's average with all amenities like gym, laundry, cafeteria and play area with badminton court. It is unlike traditional hostel. Twin sharing with TV, Wifi, 24hrs hot water and R.O. water for consumption is available. Buffet dinner is available in both veg and non veg alternatives.

Alumni/Alumna

They are helpful and visit campus time to time to motivate us and to guide us for placements. They also come for recruitment. Their participation in football and cricket matches is an annual ritual.

Exam Structure

Yes, it is hectic with regular exams and presentations. As I have mentioned earlier evaluation is not only dependent on exams but in class activities, majority of which are presentations and class test. It is also related to projects and assignments including market research and analysis.

Admission

GDPI and psychometric test. Group discussion was a good one with a lot of worthy candidates bringing valuable points to the table. Personal interview was a sort of stress interview, with personal questions and stories. Question on hobbies and it's meaning in life was also raised. Abstract questions took the toll as well.

Faculty

5

Phenomenal teaching skills with legitimate industry experience. Faculty members design number of activities and programs to give students wide range of situation and skills required to tackle those situations. Evaluation consist of number of class presentations and activities.

The areas they have to improve is on industial visit shound done every 2 month not in 1 year. The teaching Method should be more didital. The Frequency and Timing of exam at 12pm noon . The ecam level is less difificult if you study.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
