Remarks

Needs to work on the travelling facilities as it's a bit costlier and time consuming.

Entrance Preview

I did my diploma so hence was able to avoid the entrance exams. I scored 72% in my diploma and hence was able to secure my admission in the above mentioned college. There are limited seats for IT and thus had no other option but to opt for this college or go out of town as the cut-offs were to high during that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course is pretty much defined by the University of Mumbai, so it's normally quite around it, apart from that we had practical on various subjects which helped us further get acquainted with the Computers also there we had to maintain files for various subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No, during my educational period in the college, there was no internship provided, all the help that we would provide to the college would be considered as in Extra Activities or just helping the college.

Placement Experience

0.5

There were namely 2-3 companies which came in the campus but their hiring was only for 2-3 candidates so most of the students had to find their own way out and also the staff would ask us to create a start-up and hire student from our college as there was no proper placements.

College Events

1.5

The college has multiple events but it did lack cultural and management festivals. Most of these events were in favour of local students. Also the regional crowd sometimes created havoc for e.g. Cricket match came to halt. Later on i.e. in my final year we had some events but not up to the mark still something better than nothing i guess.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to the location I found the fee structure bit steep, given the advantage of being under the University of Mumbai was the only reason their fee structure was expensive. As it's far from the main city, we had to compromise in the basic facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are not much scholarship available, although you're a South Indian you can avail a scholarship. Loan facility was not available.

Campus Life

1.5

The main advantage of the college is that it is far from the main city and hence there was abundant place. Labs, sports ground or garden they are stretched across a good width and length, but as they were still in development they were not up to the mark.

Hostel Facilities

3

As the college is far from my home, during the admission period I did visit the Hostel Facilities and Mess and to be true all is okay. There are all the basic facilities which we need in a hostel although there are some ups and downs of living in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

We were the 1st-2nd pass-out so there was not much help there for us, the only help that we got was from the staff which was minimal.

Exam Structure

The structure of the exams is majorly decided by the University of Mumbai and hence the exam structure for the first and the last year was give out by University and otherwise the college would keep the exams as per the guidelines of the University, so no issues. Labs were pretty basic and lacked basic functionality i.e. enough amount of printers to justify the strength of students.

Admission

Searching online by the list of colleges I came through the name of the college and thereafter had to personally visit the place to secure my seat as at that time there were no internet-electronic means by which I could've secured my seat there. Given an application form, had to fill it and secure my seat.

Faculty

2

Well this was/is one of the major concern of an upcoming college, there were few experienced and well teaching tutors, apart from them everyone was basically a M. Tech Student who was more or less like us and hence wasn't aware of questions asked out of topic. So the faculty was a let down overall.
