Remarks

There is an entrance exam for admissions in Symbiosis. You have to apply through the official website, and submit the application fees which are 1450. I gave both the SET (common aptitude test) and the SLAT (Law Aptitude Test). I got into SLS NOIDA after scoring 50/75 on my SLAT and cracked the SCMS, Pune on scoring 66/75 in the SET. The test is immediately followed by a WAT (Written Ability Test) for 30 marks which evaluate your writing skills. On publishment of the results, the shortlisted candidates are then called up for a Personal Interview. All three evaluations are then taken into consideration for the allotment of the seats. TO be eligible for admission, one has to score at least 45% in class 12th on aggregate in any of the 3 streams. The bar for SC/ST candidates is 40%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Law has always intrigued me. Added to that, I have a knack for business too. So choosing the course was not really difficult. The college curriculum is very well spread over the 10 semesters and the balance between the law subjects and the business subjects is balanced. there are all, 5 divisions in which the students are divided and each class has about 40-45 students so the interpersonal interaction between the faculty and students is regular. The faculty is really helpful and well-versed in the subjects they are teaching. Their methods of evaluation and education help develop the understanding of the law and business side-by-side. Examinations or evaluations happen on a regular basis in form of quizzes and tutorials and end-term examinations. The examinations covered all the important portions of the curriculum and really tested their understanding of the law of the students by giving us case studies and open-ended questions.

Internships Opportunities

4

the training and the placement cell of the college have tie-ups with many well-established firms and lawyers and do give the opportunity to the students to apply for internships through the college only. all of the internships are fruitful and enhanced my understanding of the law and courtroom principles.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees, considering the infrastructure are a bit overwhelming. the building is well equipped, no doubt but there is not much space for co-curricular activities such as sports, dance or music. the college does have a gym which is free of cost for the students

Campus Life

4

the library is very well equipped for all kinds of subjects. the annual fest or the SYMFIESTA is an event of great anticipation and excitement among the students. there are different groups on the campus like the literary or the poetry club. the college has a dance society- ECSTASY which is a well-organized group which goes to competitions throughout the year

Interview Experience

4.5

there were not group discussions but hot topics like discrimination at work place or the CAA or the overpopulation and that kind of topics were talked about in the WAT and the interviews. the preparation mainly depended on the candidate's social and political awareness and how strongly the candidate was able to defend his views.
