Remarks

Yes the time of counseling you can sit in the hall and they call your name and then go and within 5 minutes they gave admission to you and a very simple and nice attitude, style whatever they like to talk to you they will do. You have to submit all the necessary documents to the college at the time of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

First of all, I am a student of B.A(HONS) ECONOMICS 1st year and my choice to choose this subject because the Aligarh Muslim University provides best facilities for all courses and the method of teaching is very effective so that's why I will choose that. In B.A(HONS) course we have 3 years course in 6 parts known as a semester in 3 years we have 9 subjects.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very good in Aligarh muslim University, aligarh because as compared to all universities in regular course we have best universities in minimum fee with best value only 8000 for regular course and we have another facility who would like to complete course in distance mode they provide "centre of distance education".

Campus Life

The life of the campus is very best and many more facilities to provided by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh this university provides gym facility, they provide "games committee" which have cricket, football, skating, volleyball, etc and in this university they provide hostels and hostels have own separate these facilities parking, games room, gym, mosque, playing ground best view and guard facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is very useful for me in civil services examination because Optional subject remains important in Upsc examination and if u are already pursuing a degree in a subject which will be your optional in civil services examination then it will be great choice of yours . curriculum prepares me so well. I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.

At AMU seats are fewer and number of students filling the forms are enormous. Hence, the cut-off is always tol high and for BSC in any stream a minimum cut-off is over 80%. In my time it was 83 for Maths Hons and I guess, I was lucky enough to get it....Read More
