Remarks

To be eligible for the course you should be 12+ or similarly qualified and could be if any stream math's science or art's commerce. You can find application form through official website of IGNTU i.e. http://www.igntu.ac.in/ you will be notified regarding all the updates from there regarding application release, exam form last dates, exam date, results and also you can have an open counselling at the end in case any vacancy is observed. As it's a Tribal University there are reservation and criteria based admission in entrance exam as obc, sc, sr, pwd etc. You do have benefit if have any reservations availed. Admission process is a bit slow maybe it's about every other collage and universities otherwise it's well organized in terms of admissions.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The apt reason was my interest of creativity it's journalism and you need to be creative in every attribute assignment and project included. It's a good standout between faculty and students as there are professor's according to the subjects assigned but sometimes due to personal reasons if professors are busy there are the PhD scholar's to help out in that remains. Every faculty is well qualified and did there PhD from different interesting subject's and also qualified net exam they teach on there own methods be it real or factual faculty also lets us know about there experience and guide through it. Exams were timely but due to COVID there were hassles otherwise it was all going well.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There were abundance of projects and internship but without stipend first' a learning program on photography was organized later PSA videos were made by introductory video's for University was assigned to upload in our own YouTube channel and lastly campaign work was assigned which went pretty well and it's ongoing. In internship I was in social media department and then in Input department.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hike is what you do not accept in university in terms of academics. I didn't got any internship with stipend yet but i did an learning internship from IBC Raipur. There could have been more opportunities but as mentioned before COVID played a villain and retarded chances of more internships that could have Been beneficiary.

Campus Life

2.5

From the start itself you will witness collage fest as Hindi month and later on there are numbers of orientation and gatherings which takes place in auditorium itself which is really great. Library is pretty average as it's really big but being a JOURNALISM student we didn't had newspaper which was really ironic but we had internet and Wi-Fi and book's which we require and it's a really nice library to study and have peace. Several sports are also offered and even sports quota is available in case you are pro at it. Igntu meme page's are in abundance on Instagram but for more detailed information you can follow abvb Igntu page and there's a telegram link for students guidance.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel is good specially the rooms it has a bed without bedding and chair table with a cupboard a window with amazing views as it's situated in greenery two fans which are not really required and ventilator lights. Bathroom is Messy as you have to share it with a whole wing and it gets dirty but take care on your own so it won't get dirty and cleaning is dine daily so not to worry. Food is what you can not like there as mess is mess you can't help it it's the same everywhere be it canteen or mess For hostel registration refer website of Igntu you will fill the form and early applicant have benefit to get the rooms and if you are late you can be denied entrances to hostel and outside campus ot not luxurious as other cities because it's in a rural area.

Placement Experience:

JLU on a lighter note provide us internships with many YouTube content creators and also some media houses. So majority students of here get a PPO directly and therefore placements worth 4-5 lakhs are what we get initially.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this BA course because I'm good at English writing and I just wanted to get the digree because I'm more involved in the coaching of competitive exams so it would be easy for me to study the subjects of this course. The curriculum prepare us to be good at English and increase our speed of writing. There is no need for any improvement all thing is good the timing of exams is 3 hours which is good for the student who write in speed but for the slow write it is too short

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main part of the course I have chosen was becoming the link between the information and society and becoming a medium to share those information and ideas . The curriculum is based on the actual and real life activities and daily life activities. More field work and more engaging of actual people working in those field would be extremely exciting for students. The timing frequency of exams and level of difficult are good
