Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) is meant for a peaceful and good environment and the university is located at Amarkantak in MP. The university provides many campus facilities such as separate hostels for the boys and girls, 4 hours of internet access, smart classrooms, NCC facilities for the students etc.

IGNTU has 12 departments of allied disciplines that collectively offer 19 UGC-approved courses at UG, PG and doctoral level. These courses are offered majorly in the field of Science, Arts, Humanities, Management, Commerce, Pharmacy and many more.

A three-year BA programme is the flagship programme of IGNTU that is offered in nine specializations. To be eligible for seeking admission to the course, candidates need to pass Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

IGNTU came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and became operational in July 2008. It is a UGC-recognized university and also accredited by NAAC with grade 'B'.

Is there any scholarship facility provided by IGNTU?

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University encourages its meritorious and deserving candidates to pursue their studies by offering an adequate number of scholarships, fellowships, and free ships such as the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme, Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme, Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme etc.

How is the faculty at IGNTU?

There are 159 faculty members at IGNTU having high expertise in their respective fields, including associate and assistant professors. All the professors are NET qualified and possess a doctorate in their specializations.

Does IGNTU provides hostel facility to its students?

Yes, IGNTU offers hostel facilities to its students with all the basic amenities and comfort. Currently, there are two hostels for girls namely, Rani Durgawati and OBC girls hostel, and for the boys including Guru Govind & OBC hostel and one more for Ph.D. scholars. The hostel charge for the IGNTU students ranges between INR 1650 6000/- annually.

Is IGNTU BVoc different from other regular BA courses?

IGNTU BVoc is a three-year programme which is offered in five specializations including Theatre, Stagecraft, Film Production, and Software Development. IGNTU BVoc admission process is similar to the Ba/ B.Sc courses based on an online entrance test conducted by the University.

Does IGNTU provide any doctoral degree courses?

Yes, at the doctoral level, IGNTU offers a Ph.D. programme in 18 specializations. For seeking admission to any of these specializations, candidates need to possess a masters degree in a relevant field.

THE GENUINE REVIEW OF IGNTU.

Likes

The fee structure is very low as compared to other government universities.
Campus is very big and all types of grounds are available.campus life is vibrant and engaging
all the deparments are seperated and there is no mess between students. the infrastructure is decent with wrll equipped labs and a central library.

Dislikes

girls to bys ratio is not skewed with significantly higher number of boys compared to girls
the hostels could be better maintained especialy in terms of cleanliness and foodd quality
lack of industry exposure the collage should work on collaborations with industries for internships and guest lectures.

the course curriculum is fairly relavant and covers core subjects in depth . whichinflunced my decisions to join the program .it provides a strong foundation for both real=world applications and higher studies. some parts of the curriculam could be udated to include newer technologies and trends . more practical sessions industry based projects and workshops would help bridge the gap between theory and real world skill. Exams are conducted twice a semester mid term and end term with regular internal assessments. the diffilculty level is modderate to high depending on the subject but m,anageble with regular classes . overall the curriculam is ,structured and balanced though theres a room for enhancement in practical exposure and flexibility.

university enviourment is really really great.there is no pollution like air pollution or land pollution. air is so fresh. its kinds a moderate enviourment due to high amount of greenry.
in university there is almost every type of relegious person or student live so everyday you have to meet experience
teaching staff is quite good and helps you a lot in your future. master degree students are really helpful

Dislikes

there is no big market or permanent market so thats why we have to take bus to near by city
transport system is really really bad in this university
sometimes there is electricity and water shortage so all students have to face basic hygin problem

Placement Experience:

this college has decent placement for students, not every department offers placement but if your department give placement please go for it, work hard. around 20 per cent of students get placement. My plan after degree is go for master's degree

Likes

I liked the infrastructure of my college. It is situated in a beautiful place.
I liked the lab facilities of every department.
Library have every books we need for our course

Dislikes

Restriction for girls. Girls are not allowed to go out of the campus
Mess food is not upto the mark. Food quality is ok ok
And there is lack of proper information of any event

Course curriculum is relevant it is very useful for our future studies and it have many scopes in different sectors. Course curriculum is prepared very well. Exams are conducted on every 6 months semester wise our course have 6 semesters.

study library there are lots of study books , all courses available there , some courses added .will provide all types of books also u can borrow there , u must have the id card of university . 800 to 1k seat available
Campus , university area cover a huge space . Different different department of all couses , there has 2 auditorium , computer lab available for all student . Bca students have seperate lab also . Playground etc
Activity ; all function organised by different different department in different different occasion , like swami vivekanand jayanti , republic day ,women day , independence day , teachers day , freshers and farewell etc

I choose bca beause of my interest . Bca have more scope of careeer . This course connect us with technology . I think coding is best part for me , but i suggest the syllabus will be update . C , c++, java , sql , database all subjet included .
