Remarks

I applied for Computer Science and Engineering and got admitted directly, with no hustle, smooth process. The application forms and every other details are available on the official website of the college. Would like to see improvements in the placements and also in the hands-on experience on industrial visits and other extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Computer Science as my domain, as I am interested in it. Overall faculties are good, could be better though, on an average of 10-12 faculties for 50-60 students. Most of them are Pursuing Ph.D., and some of them have already completed their Ph.D., the teaching method is both traditional and digital its a mixture. There were two main exams Mid Terms and End Terms, other class tests and assignments are also included.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience

Overall placements offered are good. You are eligible to sit for placements after you reach your final year, but during your, 6th-semester internship programs are allowed. Companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, TechMahindra, Vanuatu, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

My whole course consisted of 8 semesters, 2 semesters per year Fees per semester were 45000 which sums to 360000, and other miscellaneous costs are charged. The fees have been hiked as of now, for details can go through the website.

Campus Life

Life at GIMT Guwahati was indeed a great experience, I enjoyed my 4 years being there. Annual fest Euphuism happens every year, usually a three days fest, thrilling experience. Another college week and other programs happen from time to time. Clubs for social work and others like singing, dancing, drama, etc are available.

Placement Experience:

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Students can participate in interviews, written tests, and other selection processes during this time 8th Semester: The placement process continues into the 8th semester, and students may have additional opportunities to secure job offers from various companies 2) Many reputed companies such as swiggy, Amazon Microsoft google etc come to our campus. 3) As per the 2022 reports average package in my branch is 12.28 LPA and highest package is 52.8LPA. 4) As per 2022 reports an approximate percentage of 89 got placed in my branch. 5) My plans are to prepare for railway entrance jobs.

Our college has one of the best placement record in India From 7th semester you can apply for placements and there is cpi cap for attending some interviews The highest package in the year 2023 is 2.4 crores and lowest was 5.2 lakh Avg package is around 21.15 lakh which was amazing As expected of a teir 1 college Many tech gaints like Amazon, IBM , Microsoft etc visited for recruitment Around 639 jobs were offered Many different roles and profiles were offered in these placement recruitments like Software Development Engineer, Member Technical Staff, Design , R&D, Developers, Data Science,Business Analyst, Associate Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Analyst,Graduate Engineer Trainee, Post Graduate Trainee, Technical Executive etc... 1)Students become elgible from 3rd year for Pre-Placaemnt offer and and mostley placed by 4th year. 2)in tech field , all top MNCs come in thsi college including GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, AMAZON,NETFLIX and makes enough offer to pick up every CS student from campous. 3) Last year Highest package by 2Cr by a CS M.tech student from M.tech from UBER and everage is avout 30L for CS and little low for other Branches. 4)approx 90% placement and rest 10% are those who goes for highter studies and Civil servies 5)I will try to grab best placement out of all in IT sector only.

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.
